Reagan Weathers
Martin Treptow Diary
Hello MBD! I have a question that I''m hoping you could answer. Martin Treptow's pledge is one of the most powerful and selfless things I have ever heard in my life. It influences me daily to strive to be the best that I can be and to muster up the courage the make it happen. As modern as it may sound, I would like to have it tattooed on me to constantly remind me of this brace soldier's sacrifice. Along with the many before him and all who follow him. My life story aside, I just want to make sure that I've got his pledge written correctly. My issue is that a flyer from the time of WW1 reads "I will fight cheerfuly and do my utmost as if the whole issue of the struggle depended on me alone." While Ronald Reagan quotes it as "I will fight cheerfuly and do my utmost as if the issue of the whole struggle depended on me alone." I just want to make sure that I'm getting to correct wording! I hope that you have an answer for me and that I can hear from you. My email address is reagan.weathers@yahoo.com Thank you very much!

Rev Jacob De Shazer
Say MDB, I just added a newspaper clipping to your very well made memorial for Rev De Shazer.

As your time allows, please move the clipping to the end of the photos ... we should see the man before the "story" in his obit, I think.

Thanks ... and great work on this!

Martin August Treptow
Is his birth year 1893 or 1894.
I would assume 1894 since that is on his grave marker.
The memorial however, states 1893.

King Richard Sellers
Hello!

I believe I noticed on Find a Grave that you trace your ancestry back to King Richard Sellers, son of John J. Sellers and Sarah Joriah McLemore. Is that correct?

I have tried using the information on Find A Grave to trace the line, but I can't seem to gather the info that I need.

If I do have it correct, that you are a descendant of King Richard Sellers, it would be a great help to me if you could visit the following web site and help me fill in the missing links. It is not set up where you can add them yourself, but if you could message me back with the info that goes in column 6, I would greatly appreciate it.

The purpose of this website is to list all of the grandchildren and great's of John J. Sellers and Sarah Joriah McLemore, as all of the living descendants are related to one another as cousins.

We have a Sellers Family Facebook group where we visit, get to know each other and tell stories about our family history. We would love for you to join us.

First, here is the website that I am needing help with on column 6:

http://sellersfamily.jennswebdesign.org/john_j_sellers.html

Also, this makes us something like 4th cousins, I think. :-)
