I am interested in the Anglemyer, Schuster/Rose, Wilkerson, Kraetschman names for myself. Tanner, Hunsley, Abbott, and Marsh for my hubby. |
I would love to help you if you need some.
PLEASE, NEVER ADD OBITS. TO ANY MEMORIAL I HAVE CREATED.
I DON'T LIKE THEM ON MY HARD WORK. YOU CAN ASK ME IF YOU THINK YOUR REASON IS SPECIAL, BUT I WILL NOT SAY YES.
I do need some help in Michigan and Wisconsin. Right now, I am mostly focused on Benzie co., Michigan. I would love for someone to help me with lookups for Adam J. Rose and his wife Caroline or Carrie Rose. Marker photos, articles, obits. and other bits of info.
Just to clarify, I am not on Ancestry.com or any paid site like that.
Spokane Memorial Gardens a.k.a. Spokane-Cheney Memorial Gardens
This is a much smaller cemetery compared to Greenwood or Riverside.
Listed below are the names of the various Gardens that you will run into when you call them.
The Garden of The Christus
The Garden of the Last Supper
The Garden of The Good Shepherd
The Garden of The Apostles
Also, Apostles Niches
and finally The Masonic Garden
When you call them, they will likely say something like "Garden of the last supper" and then give you some numbers.
Ask them to repeat the info. if you don't understand.
Riverside--they use GPS coordinates when you call them, therefore, they may say something like "Rose, 2North and 14West" That info helps us to locate them much easier. Please include.
Just email me if I can help you.
YOU ARE WELCOME TO USE MY PHOTOS OF YOUR ANCESTOR AS YOU WISH--please credit me as the photographer.
If you have an ancestor that you know or are pretty sure that they attended nursing school here in Spokane, Wa from 1902-1973. If you would like a photo of your ancestor, email me with their name, and year of graduation from Sacred Heart Nursing School in Spokane, Wa. Said hospital has group photos of almost every class.
Greenwood Non-Endowed//Lawns 25, 26 & 27
A non-endowed lawn is nothing more than a portion of the cemetery that gets no care--they don't do any type of maintance, water, mow, etc.
Pine needles fall, branches fall and so on. So, when I find out that a person is buried in any of the above I will post a photo that I just took. Please remember that Greenwood is more than 100 years old. So, the chances of us actually locating the marker for your ancestor in a non-endowed are not that great. That doesn't mean that we won't try, just don't hold your breath.
IF YOU WANT ME TO DO A TRANSFER OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBER, EMAIL ME. I will consider each request as they come in. The way I see it--these are guidelines only, not hard and fast rules. So, if you have an odd situation with your ancestor or even if it is a friend--let me know. I am not related to most of the names that I "manage". So, don't be afraid to ask for a transfer or whatever your situation involves.
Taking photos--I want to explain my thinking behind the way I take the photos.
I feel that it is a privilege that someone else is entrusting me--to take the best possible photo of their ancestor that I can. Therefore, I take a whisk broom with me and some water. I always clean up the stones before I take a photo. It does not take long and so improves the photo. Not to mention it just seems more respectful of the person that I am photographing. Sometimes, the descendant needs date/name verified. That is difficult to achieve if there is a bunch of debris on the marker. Debris like pine needles, branches and so on. It only take a minute if that long to wipe that all away.
Water-I take some of that just for any bird droppings on the stone. A bit of water on the droppings, wait just a sec., and the bird droppings are gone. You have to sweep, wipe away. But, the idea is that you don't use anything harsh to get rid of them.
If it is bird droppings mixed with tree pitch/sap--no chance of removing that.
So, if you are going to fulfill any photo requests for me--I would appreciate your doing it the way I have outlined it for when I fulfill other peoples requests.
Please, when posting a photo request--if known, please include all names-family names and so on. It makes it easier on the one doing the hunting if all info is known. Like, if you don't know the death date for sure, but think it's about 1910-say that. It will make a difference as to how soon your request is fulfilled.
Just in case someone wants to know someday--My source for DOB, DOD, names, marriages, military and so on is--digitalarchives.wa.gov--obviously it only helps me out here in Washington State.
I don't like having to pay any web site money for what actually should be free--esp. in the case of a 100 year old marriage license, death cert., and so on. So, I don't do Ancestry.com--although I did just for a trial period of like 6 months.
I have looked at Familysearch.org--have been unable to figure out that site, how to navigate around, so not interested in a site that is not user friendly.
The above web site is ALWAYS my source. The only other source I have here is our library.
So, please don't ask me who or what my source is--I've already told you.

Thanks very much for the photo. Go ahead and create a memorial for George when you have time, and then send me a request to link him, etc.

Thank you so much for the great photos. I created a memorial for John's wife Emma Snodgrass (145556731). If it's not too much trouble, could you add the joint photo to her memorial. Really appreciate your efforts - I hadn't known Emma's birth date or burial location.

A request please...
Now that we see the grave markers you posted for Ella...if you get back to Greenwood Memorial Terrace, would you mind taking separate photos of the markers for AC and daughter Grace?
We don't have photos of those and also didn't realize Grace was buried with them.
Thank you again,

I apologize, but I accidentally clicked on the wrong memorial to fulfill a photo request. I actually didn't find the picture of the grave in question today. Please re-submit the photo request and I'll check again.
