I can remember as a child walking cemeteries with my mom who started researching in the early 1960's. It wasn't until the research bug hit me in 1991 I understood the peace one feels. Since I found Find A Grave in 2002 I have made so many friends and found a distant cousin I would have never known & grown to cherish had she not placed flowers on my immediate family memorials.
Please respect my choice not to create family trees on Find A Grave by asking me to link memorials. I am seeing the same wrong information on Findagrave as seen on Ancestry & will not be a part of linking because someone asked me to and it be wrong. I will not link anyone related to me. I am related to eveyone I manage the memorials except those located in the State & Counties listed below.
If you are related in ANY WAY to anyone I have in Lincoln & Otero Cos., NM; Hyde Co., NC or Jefferson Co., WV please let me know & I will transfer the memorial to you as they are of no relation to me.
Research is a passion, proof is essential the find is priceless.
RE: Marvin D. Witcher, 16597639 As for his wife, Mary Bohannan Witcher, my cousins have told me that she has passed. They did not have a date. The memorial states that he had one surviving sister. He actually had 2 sisters: Geraldine Witcher (unknown married name and birth/passing info-working on it) and Nancy Joyce Witcher Laflin. The latter has passed and her ashes are interned at St. John's Church in Denver, Colorado. There is no findagrave number as it is private. Her birth/passing info: 5/25/1930-11/11/1987. Nancy is my aunt on the in-law side. She is my uncle's 2nd wife and they had no children so I am no blood relation. I'm not sure if I am the best person to maintain this memorial. Just let me know. Thanks.
Marvin D. Witcher, 16597639 Marvin Witcher's wife, Mary Bohannan Witcher, is on the headstone with no date of passing. Do you have access to that information? There is the notation of "DS" as far as his marriage to Mary Bohannan. Can you tell me what that stands for? Marvin and Mary had a son, Marvin Jr. I am unable to find his memorial but he is noted in our tree with their daughter, Lou Ann, 100551235. The Witcher family is in my family tree. I have been doing research for all branches of our family.
