Bio and Links
Bio Photo We have been researching our family for about 30 years and have traveled to several states for genealogy. Many of our memorials are for "extended" family members, but others are not. We hope someone finds the information we post helpful in their own research.

Except for those photos listed within our *Posted with Permission* virtual cem, every tombstone or cemetery photo we post was taken by us on the date indicated in the photo caption.

FIND A GRAVE PHOTO POLICY:
-- All contributor-posted photographs are intended for PERSONAL USE, unless stated otherwise. To comply with current Copyright Law, you SHOULD NOT post (and/or republish) any contributor's cemetery or tombstone photos elsewhere without permission.

-- As contributors retain the copyright on ALL photos that they have taken and posted, it is actually NOT acceptable to just indicate you took the photo from Find A Grave (since this site does not own the copyright to any of the contributor-posted photographs).

Regarding our cemetery and tombstone photographs, specifically...

-- We will allow most instances of unaltered OTHER USE, but with the added stipulation that you MUST provide a photo source citation (by referencing both "Find A Grave" [or www.findagrave.com] AND our profile name AND # in the Description) for any of our photographs taken from this website; for example, "Photo courtesy of Find A Grave Contributor: Law-Miller Roots (#47103448)".

-- Note that you can provide a link back to the Find A Grave memorial, instead of copying (i.e. Ancestry's built-in "weblinks" function can be used for this exact purpose). This option works quite well.

-- Please do not download and then republish any family portraits we post, as these come from private family collections. Some of these photos still enjoy copyright protection and are NOT in the public domain.

NOTE: If we've submitted a memorial that you want to make corrections to, or if you would like a memorial transferred (and we're not also related in some way) let us know via the Edit Tab and we'll take care of it asap.

Fietta (Maurer) Hepler
Hello: She was my great grandmother. My father told us she spelled her name Fietta. It is spelled this way in 1860, 1870, 1880 Census. Later, there were spellings such as Fayett, Fieda, and Fayette. The informant on her death certificate was not signed by an immediate relative. I will use "Fayetta" as a nickname on her memorial.

Hurd pix
Could you please add the pix that you have on James Albert Hurd # 60196879 to his parents as well? The one that shows both stones side by side.
James # 121691059 & Mary #121691745

Thanks Dhutson

Margaret Jane Beck
Thank you for finding her. Is there anyone that could get a picture of the stone? I don't know much about James T. Beck. All I know is from one of my fathers cousins doing the family history that he was very mean to Margaret that he took her and was not heard from until he wrote them a letter that Margaret had died.

John and Margaret (Case) Slagle
Hi Marilyn, Incredible news on John #49016166 and Margaret #49016398 (Case) Slagle !! They are my GG-Grandparents. Several of us in the family have looked for years in an attempt to knock down the brick wall. I see my cousin, Kelly Lardner sent a message to you asking for help. May I ask where you found the information on John Slagle's birth in Kentucky and Margaret's maiden name as Case? It is very important to me and I would thank you dearly. I also would like to thank you for all you do on Findagrave. I have posted a bunch of headstone photos in the past couple of weeks that I took from at several cemeteries in Pennsylvania the first part of April . Should have known better and waited another week or two as it was cold, rain, snow etc., but still enjoy it. Thanks again, very much!! Mark Weitzel

Margaret Slagle
Good Morning,
I am researching my GGG Grandmother, Margaret Slagel, who is buried in Salem Cemetery in Frogtown. Spouse: John Slagle. I am looking for any information regarding her maiden name, place of birth, etc., anything prior to her marriage to John Slagle. There is some controversy over her maiden name. I wondered if it would be in records the cemetery may have. Thank you in advance for any information you can give, or referrals you can make.
