I am returning to FindAGrave after a hiatus of a few years. Some people on here do not know manners or patience when putting in requests and I do not respond to rude messages/requests.
Even though I am a younger gravehunter, I have been a member of FindAGrave for over 10 years...a lot longer than most of the people who make the most fuss here. I have seen this website go through lots of changes, especially concerning the attitude of members and how people use this site. With that being said, just be patient, enjoy this site for what it can provide you, and appreciate that your relative or friend is being honored by having a memorial at all!
As the grandson of a veteran from Oklahoma and another veteran from the Philippines, I have a special interest in documenting the graves of Oklahoma vets and Asian-Americans. Recently, I have started projects to document the Chinese Cemetery in French Camp and the Asian sections of Park View Cemetery in Manteca.
I have done a lot of work surveying and caring for CENTER CEMETERY (Pontotoc County, Oklahoma) where many of my grandmother's relatives are buried. This cemetery is very close to my heart. Please contact me if you have any information or questions about it.
I was blessed to grow up with many of my grandparents' siblings and cousins, who were some of the most special and important people in my life. Some of them have passed away and become my special angels in Heaven. If you have a chance, please visit my Uncle Millard (who got me interested in cemeteries and genealogy), my Aunt Emma, my Aunt NaOla, and my Aunt Bernice, who just passed away recently.

|Bruce ||NaOla Wofford|
Thanks for posting NaOla's memorial. My family lived next door to the north on Caddo from 1958 till about 1975. I was born in 1960, the Woffords were like family to us and we loved them. Many of my fondest childhood memories include HT and NaOla. We had cookouts and camping trips and fishing trips and trips to Table Rock. We always watched wonderful world of Disney at their house on Sunday evenings. I was selling real estate when they moved to AZ and they ask me to help them sell their house. At that time NaOla gave me some Christmas Angel decorations, which I will always cherish, she loved to decorate the whole house for Christmas. She was a wonderful cook and was one of the nicest people I have ever known. I still remember her smile and laugh.

Thanks for applying the edits to the John Farmer Cagle memorial page. ~~Carol
I have looked at your message numerous times and enjoyed hearing about your trip "back east" to Oklahoma. For some reason, I thought I had responded to your message, but, just in case, I decided to pin a short note this morning. I am glad your trip went so well and I hope your entering grad school has gone well and your search for a job was successful. Thank you for transferring my dad's site to my management. I hope your family is healthy and looking forward to a gathering of the clan at Thanksgiving and (right around the corner) Christmas! Take care. Eual Jr.

What a book you wrote - lol. I sent myself an email with your msg so don't think I deleted it without working on it. Right now I am riding in an 18-wheeler and bouncing on the roads. When we stop at night, I'll try to fit things together a little at a time. I won't forget you. We need to have history accurate!
|Debi Austen||Ferdinand Gunzendorfer - Memorial #25960680|
Brandon, wondering if you are a descendant of Ferdinand Gunzendorfer buried in Congregation of Ahavas Achim Cemetery in San Joaquin County. My grandmother was a Gunzendorfer and while I do not know that she was related to this Ferdinand, I am anxious to learn more about him. Thank you.
|Ann Maliniak||Tombstone dates|
First of all, allow me to thank you for contributing on Find a Grave. It is because of people like you that we are able to find so much about our families.
The reason I am writing is that I am looking at the photo of the headstone for George Stearns and Keziah Palmer Stearns and I note that the dates on the headstone don't match the dates written in the Find a Grave notes. It shows clearly on the headstone that George died on 30 Dec 1811 and his wife on 14 Nov. 1819. I am not sure why you have it listed differently, but I was sure you would want to correct that.
