I am generally not related to the people honored in the memorials I create. I focus mostly on photographic preservation of local history and sadly have no genealogical connections where I live. I am happy to transfer records to your safe keeping upon request.
I grant permission to use my photos for personal, non-commercial use. If you'd like to use them in a project, please contact me. It is not my intention to have these volunteered hours end up contributing to a service that will then charge for access to the information.

Thank you for the photo on memorial #8018551, Betsy Searles Knapp. I would like o use the photo for my Searles Family Genealogy. I intend no commercial use of the photo. I do intend to donate a copy of the genealogy to the Herrick Library in Wellington, Ohio, where my branch of the family lived. Unless I hear differently, I will use the attribution, "Photo courtesy of Erin Nikitchyuk".

Thank you for finding my uncle and aunt's grave. I have submitted links for his parents. There were three sons in the family, Frank, Leslie Jr. and William (my father). Each joined a different branch of the U.S. service and fought in WWII.

Regarding the missing Greek stones...I wonder if there has not yet been a fluent interpreter and the stones may keep popping up and transcribers are marking the box "Not My Language" rather than they be lost altogether? I wish you the best on getting those transcribed!

I apologize that Mapiansh was transcribed through at all. Since the photo transcription program here at Find a Grave is still in beta mode, there are a lot of odd things that happen over which one has no control. Typically it starts out with typing the last name in the box. If there is already a memorial set up at that cemetery, it will show in the drop-down menu and you then "connect it" and that is all that is necessary. Unfortunately, things "fly away" without even touching the button sometimes and there is no way to get them back. Hopefully this will be remedied soon! I viewed the specific picture you were referencing and there is nothing I can do. I would suggest you consider deleting the headstone photo and then resubmit it. I am not a foreign language expert and typically select the box on the transcription page that says "Not My Language" and move on to the next photo. Unfortunately, this did not happen and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. By the way, thank you for taking headstone photos and uploading them here. There are SO many more out there that need to be photographed it just feels overwhelming at times.
