After retiring as a teacher, I had the time to look into my ancestors. I found relatives at Findagrave.com which helped fill in the gaps in my search. Because someone else took the time to do those postings which helped me, I decided to help someone else. I have worked on postings for several local cemeteries and love taking the photos. I have tried to be very accurate but realize mistakes are a reality. I will be happy to do any corrections or make transfers when necessary.
Please feel free to use with acknowledgement any photograph I have taken for your own personal family tree use.
Billingsley, Brummett, Odom, Murray, Cawthorn, Fontane are just a few of the names found in my family tree.
Possible Duplicates Sorry, hit the send button too quick. Just wondering if the following are duplicates as the have almost the same DOD/DOB info posted. There are different spouses listed but the similarities were such that I wanted to ask.
Photos You state in your profile that your photos can be used for personal family history purposes. I am with the Louisiana Gravestone Project. We are a not for profit volunteer group that is attempting to get all the cemeteries in all the parishes in Louisiana photographed and put online for the free use of others. I wonder if you would allow us to use your photos on our site? At present we have over 116,000 photos but we have a long way to go before we complete our goal. We have a special way of doing all the veteran photos so that each one can be recognized for their service. Would you please look at our site and see what we are doing? You can do a search for veterans also. We really need help with this project. We need people who are willing to be a parish coordinator and also people to take and add photographs. This is our way of trying to preserve a portion of Louisiana's very diverse history. If you would allow us to use your photos, we will give you credit for each photo. Or if you would prefer to add your own photos that would be wonderful.

obit Hello, I was perusing some papers and came across an obit for (I believe) one of your memorials. Mrs. George Ethridge. I added it to her site, but if I am wrong I apologize. The only thing that makes me question is the year of death. The paper is St. Landry clarion., September 18, 1915 and her memorial is later.
