I am a retired labor & delivery nurse, married with 5 grown children. I got interested in family history and have been researching for about 10 years off and on. My families are FRANKS, HENDERSON, BARRY, SWART(SCHWARTZ), GUIGOU, BURNS, BLOWE, KELLY, KILDUFF to name a few.|
I have lived in California most of my life but was born in Pittsfield, Mass. My father's family lived in New Orleans. My husband's family were mid-westerners. So my researches have taken me virtually all over the country. I am hoping to travel to more of these places now that my kids are all out of the house!

That's all there was this time. Check with me in a few months and I will see if anything new comes up. They are always adding papers. Sorry that was all this time.

Times Picayune, Aug 7 1913 there is a notice that reads:
Civil District Court
Succession of Jacob Swart, Alice Swart deceased wife of Wm.F.Spence, Sr., and Clarinda Spence: possession.
Was there another Jacob Swart who died before this date?
You are very welcome. So happy he had a grave marker for you.

Glad I could help :)

It's exciting to find photo requests that are years old! I'm glad you liked them.

Glad to help the community.

I will see if I am able to locate any information on the family members you have indicated at St. Mary's, St. Barthelomy and McDonoughville. I will let you know what, if anything, I find.
|Joseph Mann||RE: George Guigou|
Cemetery records at McDonoghville prior to 1940 are sketchy at best. I contacted the cemetery office and they were nice enough to try to determine if Joseph and Catherine Guigou were buried there.
They advised me that they are buried there and are in the Guigou tomb, although their names are not engraved.
If you make a memorial page for them I will be happy to post the pictures of the tomb.

Judy, I can't recall what I've already given you, but just ran across the article describing Leota Swart's accident. Have I already sent that to you?
