RE: Ellenore Orr Adair in Guernsey Co.
Bob, that would be very kind of you to send your written compilation. As you know the name Robert Orr is very common in Ireland and thus also in the US. Also there are two men in the county at the same time (about 1850) named William Orr, one of whom must be his father. There was also a third William Orr called Colonel Orr.

I have Wolfe's big county history but he isn't shedding much light on this subject.

Please send to wapo@cl.aoyama.ac.jp

Many thanks--

Wayne

RE: Ellenore Orr Adair in Guernsey Co.
Bob, I wonder if you know the Robert Orr family of Guernsey Co. He and his wife Eliz. both died in a buggy wreck in 1853 (# 97141703). His last census in 1850. I can send the obit if you'd like to have it. Or you can find it on my tree:

Hello, Bob, just noticed from Ellenore's memorial that your name is Orr. Are you related to the Orrs in Guernsey Co. OH?

Nancy Hightower photo. Amazing weather for Missouri weather in January, sunshine and 50 degrees. Couldn't resist taking camera and walking. (My husband did the walking, and I sat in truck in sunshine). We took about 100 pictures and still working on them. Alberta

RE: St. Kilda Cem. Orr Family
Hello Bob,

According to the on-line index for St Kilda,

Orr Elizabeth Buried 13/06/1878
Presbyterian, Compartment B, Grave 0301

Orr Matilda Buried 27/12/1876
Presbyterian, Compartment B, Grave 0301

Orr George Buried 30/10/1897
Presbyterian, Compartment B, Grave 0303

Orr Mary Buried 13/07/1899
Presbyterian, Compartment B, Grave 0303

The picture taken has the number 303 at the foot of the grave, so is the right one. What one would assume (Next to Grave 303) is grave 301 is bare of anything.

I noticed nearby another Orr grave and took a picture of that as well. Will post them on F.A.G. when I have time. There are 30 Orr's listed as being interred at St Kilda.

Will post pictures of the following.

Orr Isabella Matilda Buried 30/12/1935
Independent, Compartment B, Grave 0374

Orr John Buried 11/08/1921
Independent, Compartment B, Grave 0374

Information obtained from

Marc.

Mary Orr, St Kilda Cemetery.
Bob,

No headstone information on Mary. The others names are confirmed on the St Kilda Data base as in graves 301/303.

Regards,

Marc.

Culp family
Bob,
I am wondering whether you are connected to the Culp family in any way? I so I'd love to know how, I am a descendant.

If not, I may ask for some transfers of the Fort Madison folks.

thanks,
Gordon Drake

Steve Hanken
Bohlken family
Bob,
I'm a little bit connected to the Bohlken's, of which there are three different families in the Jones County area of Wayne and Scotch Grove Townships. Unfortunately if they go back only a few Generations in Germany, they are all connected! Adolf"Boots" Bohlken who married Rorden has several brothers and sisters, Mary Bohlken, his one sister, never married. He has a brother Henry who was married and had three sons, two are ministers and probably retired by now the third works in Iowa City. Brother Carl "Chuck" Bohlken is buried at St. Johns, one sister who married Lewis Collman is buried at Wilcox cemetery between Fairview and Viola; another sister married Frederick Hanken (Not Fred A. Hanken my grandfather) I believe she is still alive although her husband died some years ago, they had several daughters and on son Bill. Hope that helps! Steve

RE: Delta Cole obit.
Should I just leave it as is, and maybe put [sic] after the word "brother"? [Keep in mind I work in law, ha ha.]
