I solemnly promise never to post a person's obituary or create a memorial for a deceased individual on find a grave before the funeral/burial has actually taken place, and before the family/friends have a chance to mourn and place a memorial themselves.
In consideration for those who find it an unpleasant shock to see a death certificate on a burial memorial, please do not add them to memorials under my management. It is nice to allow people to have the option of choosing whether they want to see the detailed document - not have it looming large 'in their face' so to speak. It also takes space away from others who might wish to share photos of the person(s) and/or the actual grave itself.
If you have details from a death certificate that you would like to see with the memorial, please send it to me via the 'suggest any other correction or addition' link under the 'edits' tab so that it may be added to the bio section.
Your kindness is appreciated.
In addition, regarding memorials added/created by me:
Please do not add obits copied & pasted from other websites, funeral homes, or newspapers in the photo section.
Please do not add any photo unless you personally took the photo or have permission to use the photo and have correctly credited your source/permission.
I've asked nicely before and nice apparently does not work. Therefore:
My photos and personally written bios are not available for copying, copying & pasting, downloading, or otherwise reproducing in any manner without my express written permission.
Sharing research materials and information is a wonderful thing and an important part of genealogy. Taking materials without permission and presenting it as if it is yours, is not ok! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
