Taphophilia (a passion and enjoyment of cemeteries) has been my main hobby since the late 1970's when I was a junior in high school. I discovered that cemeteries in and around Los Angeles were the best places to hide from truant officers. It was in these adopted sanctuaries that I began to appreciate my surroundings: the grounds, the headstones, the architecture, the artwork and most importantly, the residents.|
In October of 2010, I founded The Traveling Taphophiles, a group that sets out once a month to visit cemeteries. Our travels have taken us as far as New Orleans. I'm fortunate to have met others that share my hobby and to have forged some great friendships.

I believe I saw where you posted flowers on my Manzarek memorial, which was the first of such on Findagrave. I came home after creating it but no longer see it...just yours. I had intended to work on the bio but it seems to have been deleted with no explanation. You did post on mine earlier, correct?

Thanks for the heads up on Erma's grave marker, I really appreciate it. I have built Erma a memorial and if you would like to add the one photo with both Albert and Erma to her memorial I would love you forever! Find A Grave #110899129.
Thanks again for your time and great photos!!
Hi Louis, Great bio on Ray Manzarek. I'm shocked to see that he died.

Thank you so much for the excellent photo of my favorite cousin Robin Finley's headstone. Living in MO, I had never even been to the cemetery. Thank you for taking the time to find her!

I much appreciate your effort to locate and photograph these markers. I regret I didn't know the graves were unmarked when I made the request.
Keep up the great work you're doing. Your photography is excellent.
