RE: re yor photo
Hello Barbara,

I've added the grave marker photos for Eileen M. STALLWORTHY and R.C.M. RAIKES on Find A Grave. I don't have the pic of the whole grave marker for CAFFUL. I will go back to the cemetery in a few days to get it.

I also took a look at ancestry and noticed the Bristish archives were on free access until Monday. There are a few files on Phillis Anne Collett. You may have already seen them.

And yes, you can send the pictures. Anything that can help !

Best regards,
Bye
Julia

RE: Re your Photos on Find A Grave
I'll need to do some digging but I must have a couple detailed pictures. I take them when the "As is" picture doesn't show all the available information. I'm in my busy time of year now but as the weather warms up I'll get back to the Find A Grave work and will try to get you that information.
Best regards,
Steve

RE: Re your Photos on Find A Grave
Hi Barb. I am very distantly related to Charlotte Pearce (1802 - 1854) and Margaret Pearse who was married to William Colledge (1861 - 1922). I don't know of any Hopgoods in my family - well not yet...

RE: Re your Photos on Find A Grave
Hi Barb
Many of my photos are also on ancestry.com.au - so you may be able to find some of them already there. If you can't, then I am happy for you to use these photos and reference them back to findagrave. I am not sure if my photo of the Woronora Cemetery sign is on ancestry.com.au or not - so again - please feel free to use. All the best with your research

RE: Peter Staup
I, with a 30 some years relationship to Wilma, daughter to Jean Claire Staup 1930-1984 was the daughter to Roland Clinton Staup 1901-1965 and Grace Elliott 1903-1972. Roland was a son to Peter Staup II 1873-1960 and Annie Ravenscroft 1874-1945. His father was a son to George Washington Staup 1850-1924 married to Rebecca Susan Miller 1851-1922. George son to Peter 1820-1893.
I like the info Sally Atkinson put about the miller cemeteries.
We still go to Lonaconing, MD to visit Wilma's uncle Herman Bobo, who is 92, was married to Gretchen A. Staup 1923-2014. Sister to Jean Staup Wilma's mother.
I have always wanted to visit Australia.

RE: re duplicate FAG memorials for Peter Staup 1820-1893
Barbara
I live in Lonaconing, Maryland and have visited all the Miller cemeteries around the area. The cemetery in which Peter Staup is buried is located on the farm of Samuel Miller, son of Christopher and Susannah Corbus. Samuel Miller is buried there. In the Eichhorn Funeral records this cemetery records this cemetery is referred to as the McGowan Cemetery after the person who later farmed the property. That is why I refer to this cemetery as the Miller or McGowan Cemetery. There are additional burials marked by field stones. I don't known if Mary Anne has ever visited this cemetery but I have many times.
There is also in Lonaconing a Miller Cemetery located on the farm of William George Miller and is wife. The graves are on the hillside of property used for pasture. There is a third grave on the site but headstone has been removed since being knocked from its base.
Wm. George Miller and wife are also registered in a Humbertson Cemetery [also called Miller] located in Klondike, south of Frostburg, Maryland.
I don't know how this information was added to the Humbertson Cemetery site as the memorials have my name are registered in Miller cemetery on the farm of William George Miller. There is a Miller Cemetery located on Miller's Road near Barton, Maryland. This cemetery is the burial site of William H. Miller, his wife and a son John Miller.
My family has a Miller cemetery located near Westernport, Maryland where my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents etc are buried.
I hope this info has helped you sort information concerning Miller Cemeteries.

Yes, you may copy the photo, for it was difficult to get there. Four wheel drive vehicle to the top of Dan's Mountain State Park where the old Staup farm was, very overgrown and weedy. Private property.
