Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiselled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Adam Quincy Balch
My husband is a Balch. Are you related to Adam? The info about him does not add up. Died in 1932, buried in 1942. The death certificate has John Adam Balch, died in 1942. Do you have any other Balch information?

Barbara Mauzy Miller
Use any photos I have added to Find A grave. I don't need credit for the photo, if I didn't want to share I wouldn't have added. We all are interested in our family's history and I'm glad I could make it to the Miller-Halstead Cemetery to photograph Headstones for other family members.
My connection to Barbary ( Barbara) Miller and John Miller is through their son Jacob. How are you connected, if you don't mind me asking? Have to be kin someway.
I have photos of John and Barbara's farm, Miller Pence Farm if you would like a copy let me know.

Keeney Headstones
Thank you so much for the pictures of the Keeney headstones. I think pictures add so much to the family tree. Would it be alright if I added them to my Ancestry family tree? Thank you again. Lynn Fuller
