Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have access to many cemeteries in this area.. I am willing to find graves for people that ask for photos..Most cemeteries in this area are on private property..They are not easy to find and sometimes very dangerous.. Poison Ivy, snakes and swamplands.. Bear with me when you send requests. I do my best to get permission to look up gravesites..I do not try to disrespect anyones' family..I do this to respect and remember our Ancestors..When creating Memorials please try and add as much information as possible.. When I do find a gravesite I usually can't add anything to them.. persons should follow up on the Memorials that they create..
Ed Dodge..

RE: Schermerhorn Cemetery in Brunswick, NY.
That's Great Edmund, I hope the property owner will respond and let you at least view the markers. It will be interesting to see if any Schermerhorn graves markers have survived.

Thanks for the update!

RE: Schermerhorn Cemetery in Brunswick, NY.
Hello Edmund

I would love to get any photo's if there are any of the Schermerhorn's left. My Grandfather was a Schermerhorn and these are all his family. This information came from this webroots. and in doing research I found that these Schermerhorn's were buried there.

So I'm not sure exactly where it is, as I live in Oregon and have been doing genealogy about 35 years. I tried looking on a Google maps but to no avail, I live on the Oregon Coast so it's not very likely I'll ever get there. I hope this information helps you find it... that would be wonderful. But it could be that the cemetery is long gone and forgotten by now.

I want to thank you for taking photos of my family in that Cemetery under the name Davenport/Clark section 97 plot 14. Would I be able to use the photos you took on my family tree? I have other families buried there would you be willing to take photos? Thank you again!

Sorry I made a slight mistake with the info below.
Albert IS on that 1930 Census. I cannot find a 1940 Census for that family.

RE: John Myrek Memorial
From a 1930 Census...Anna (nee: Paluch) was his mother. Her husband was Albert Myrek; not listed on the stone. Albert died in FL in 1974 and is not included on that 1930 Census.
Helen Myrek Searles was John's sister and Anna's daughter...married Walter F Searles.
All of this I found at Ancestry as I am not related to any of these folks. Just interested in WWII vets but was glad to look it up.
