Bio and Links
Bio Photo In my younger days, I walked and recorded many cemeteries but now my age and health makes that very difficult. Thus I content myself with creating memorials from older records I find on the web.

My main concern is Mount Vernon Cemetery in Philadelphia. Two sets of my great great grandparents are buried there as well as one set of great grandparents. Since the management makes getting information, or even visiting, very difficult, I am creating memorials for the people buried there from the Philadelphia death records and obituaries in the hopes of making the cemetery more transparent.

When sending me corrections or additions, please do it through the edit button on the memorial. This makes it much easier for me to determine who you are writing about.

Hi again, no not related, just connected remotely from one person to another through findagrave. you know how that happens. As for now having two memorials for same person, Mary, I thought you might have deleted yours only since theirs had gravestone photo already. ?? If you want to keep the memorial number you can reuse it for someone else which was suggested to me by another contributor. what's the easiest way to do it for everyone? thanks. As for Emeline's birth place, often times the DC is wrong as I'm sure you've discovered. I will dig a little further.

I transferred her to you and updated her memorial with the obit you sent me. I love it when the death certificate states one burial place and they end up somewhere different. I have had that happen to me numerous times. And I thought finding the living was hard...LOL

Not withstanding what the Philadelphia Inquirer. reads, this person Mary Ann Hart is not buried in Ivy Hill cemetery.

One issue reads Ivy Mill, but I can't identify it.

Info on William H. Fisher -- thank you!
I really want to thank you for the Obituary transcript you left on the memorial page of William H. Fisher (Apr 8 1834-Apr 17 1883). He is my 3rd great grandfather and it was so interesting to read his obituary. What a find!! Thank you so much for a little bit of "story" to go with the records I've found!! Thank you!! --Jodi
