I enjoy doing genealogy research for myself and others. I love taking photographs and looking at old photographs. I collect old postcards of royalty, children, and famous people. I live in Xenia, Greene County, OH. My local library has a genealogy room that has newspaper obits on people who have died in Greene County. So if you need an obit on one of your Greene County, OH relatives--then let me know. I will copy it and email it to you. I can also take photos at the follwoing cemeteries in Xenia: Woodland, St. Bridget's, and Cherry Grove. My relatives are originally from Bedford County, Pa (my mom's side) and from Youngstown, OH (my dad's side).|

Look at the bio I added for Della explaining the relationship. She is buried as Della Kaufman next to Louis and Nettye in Youngstown.
|Donna Sutiff||Sarah Greenland|
I noticed you have 15 Greenland relatives in the Batavia Cemetery in Iowa. Sarah Campbell is my relative. Sarah is my 4th cousin her father was Robert Campbell mother was Mary Jones.
The part of Bedford County where Sarah was born later became Fulton County. Sarah may have been born on the Campbell Homestead in Dublin Township. Sarah disagreed violently with her father about the question of slavery, and that when she was very young she used to see bloody footprints in the snow from escaping slaves. Her father agreed with the south and she with the north. She left home at an early age, whether because of disagreements with her father, or because of her stepmother, why will never be known. She kept and cleaned houses for various people. While working out, she met Hiram Greenland, who was a harness maker in Cassville, Pennsylvania, and they were married. They settled in Cassville, and that is where some of the older children were born. They left Cassville when the two oldest ones, Mary Jane and Tom, burned down the place playing with fire. In 1858 the family moved to Batavia, Iowa, where some of Hiram's relatives already lived.
Sarah apparently had strong ideas, as the 'Batavia Centennial Edition - 100 years as an Incorporated Town-1868-1968' on page13 tells of her leading about 25 ladies to the local saloon and smashing the liquor bottles. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Batavia and the W.C.T.U. was very much against having a saloon in the town. Sarah raised ten children. Sarah died Aug 23, 1898, cause of death shown as 'nervous debility.'
Sarah's father was Judge Robert Campbell-He was associate judge in Bedford County, PA. (1796-1871) where he moved after his marriage to Mary Jones of Fannettsburg. He was elected Justice of the Peace three times and was also County Commissioner and for five years Associate Judge in Bedford County, Pennslvania, After Mary's death Robert married Jane Ramsey, September 11, 1835 in Pennsylvania.. His children by his second marriage all remained in Pennsylvania. His wedding in Path Valley Presbyterian Church is recorded in 1823.
Robert Campbell was the son of Thomas Campbell and Isabel Elder. Thought you might want to add some information about her.

I remembered a friend who also worked for him sent me his obit. Of course at that time I wasn't doing this and didn't keep it. I did find him listed on an Ear Nose and Throat site as having died and the same date as the memorial. I too wanted to be sure.
