I was exposed to genealogy & history from the time of High School. Both My Uncle & Mother were avid enthusiasts. It is just seems natural that I have continued with their research especially with the passing of both my mother and Uncle, I have picked up their research. I am lucky to have a fair number of older cousins who are contributing a lot of information such as family stories to our family history especially about locations and where to find cemeteries that are not readily found on today's maps. With both of my digital cameras, a laptop, a portable scanner & printer, I am trying to gather all or as many of the family documents into electronic form and redistribute to many family members who do not have copies. |
My family website is a collection point for all my collective research efforts and a place where family research is a primary goal of all who are members. We presently have an extensively documented family heritage for a minimum of seven generations and are working to expand all lines back to our roots of origin including documenting and proving our Cherokee Ancestry.
BTW .. many of the entries I have posted ARE NOT of my direct family unless additional information is added to the memorial
Fulfilling Photo Requests are my pleasure especially since I am very aware of the impediment distance can make to working on family genealogy.
I do not have a problem with transfer requests but need statement of relationship which should be within FAG guidelines.

I too am a descendant of the Love family, my grandmother was Dollie Love. She is the Rev. Carrell M. Love & Lula E. Spencer-Love's daughter. I have been doing research on and off since 1981. This year has exploded with information I've found here and there on the internet, from documents I've recently rec'd and am still quite curious of the family tree. Have you found the choctaw connection through Lula Spencer? Her father I know has a a name of Grean Spencer, an indian scout, and his father is to be some chieftan. However, I'm running into dead ends there.
I don't know exact # of members I have for the Love's (my tree is over 1,200 and counting on all branches) but am always looking for corraborated evidence. Touch base and we can share. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.Take care Doug M.

Hi, Jean, I have been sending edits for Cynthia's memorial but do not see any being updated besides the correction of her maiden name. She is my grandmother's sister and I would like to connect her to her father and her children memorials. I am working with other members of her family to do these corrections. I was wondering if you are still active or if there is some reason these requests may not be getting to you.

Hi, I have been sending edits for memorials you are managing but they do not show up on my edits list that I have sent them. I am wondering if you are getting them.
I have submitted them before and I get an email back saying the edit has been sent.

Hi, there appears to be a duplicate memorial for James Allison Crutchfield..13364970 and 14176309. One is a picture of his military marker and the other of his private headstone. Also, I wanted to connect him with his parents but didnt know which to use. His mother is Cynthia Crutchfield 13365001 and father Thomas L. Crutchfield 13364965.

Jean, thanks for the MC info you sent. I have all the Hankins info all the way back to Virginia. In fact, a relative completed a very amazing web site listing all Hankins family members. It is really something. At this point, I am trying to link my Hankins and Reed family on Find-A-Grave and have been working on this for quite some time. It is time consuming when you do not maintain the person. If you do not know how to link the family members I can walk you through this as it is really simple. Just want to get Lyda Mae linked to my Uncle Marcus and Aunt Mae. Thanks.

Jean, this is fine. Please do as soon as you can. I am trying to get all of my family linked as soon as possible. My husband and I have been working on our genealogy for years.

I would greatly appreciate you transferring 68526334 Halcyon Tate Hawkins to me. I am her only grandson, and I would like to add some information and photos to her memorial.
