Bio and Links
Bio Photo My Aunt and I started researching our Ghent family and I came across Find A Grave in our ancestry searches. I was so impressed with the site that I started going to cemeteries and local libraries in search of information.
Find A Grave is a great resource and has a lot of wonderful historical information.
My goal is to be able to locate and provide as much information on each of our Ghent family members that I can find. I have found more than one set of Ghent's in our area and I am trying to see if they connect, so linking them has been a great tool.
In my many cross-eyed searches in reading small print, very old and blurry microfilm at the library, I try to keep and eye out for information on deaths, marriages, births, etc...on other local citizens and add those in hopes to help others with their genealogy endeavors.
I have received a lot of help from other members of Find A Grave and it's very much appreciated.

FAG Guidelines
May I add a death certificate to a person's memorial page?
Death certificates MAY BE ADDED via the "Add a photo" button on the memorial page. NOTE: Death certificates do not necessarily contain completely accurate information about the deceased. There are often errors regarding the final burial location (as well as other data).

Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
You should not copy obituary notices from newspapers (or from funeral home notices or web sites) to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. SOME OBITUARIES THAT WERE PUBLISHED IN 1922 OR EARLIER ARE NOW IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family with assistance from the funeral home. IF THE OBITUARY IS ADDED TO THE MEMORIAL RECORD, IT SHOULD LIST THE NEWSPAPER AND DATE THE OBIT WAS PRINTED for example "Published in the Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Internet Edition, April 11, 2007". Please do not include the names of living or surviving relatives in the biography, unless you have their permission. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO COPY AN OBITUARY TO A MEMORIAL, YOU MAY PUT A NOTE STATING THE NAME OF THE NEWSPAPER AND THE DATE THE OBITUARY WAS PUBLISHED.

RE: Rec'd note
He may have hit both cemeteries in the same day and got confused. Grove stones would not be at Patterson, thus burial cards are very important.
Many of the pioneers were buried in one cemetery and years later moved to a newer cemetery as was a few Kellogg's. Usually middle class on up paid to have their loved ones removed but, those who could not afford it, their loved ones stones were laid flat and 3-4 ft of dirt put on top of their burial spot.
The other thing, Art had a lot number for Robinson at Grove cem, they go by section and row.
I cked my Grove cemetery bk and tried to find lot 70, couldn't locate any number, it shows Sect then Row only.

Have a good week-

RE: Rec'd note
That is my guess, I have gone from one cemetery to another with a mile that separates them and have made same mistake. I did go through my Grove cemetery cards and there is just Sarah at Grove. I confirmed that a few years ago while looking for her family. Happens to the best of us, simple mistake.
Robinson's obit and death data states buried Patterson also.

Rec'd note
David Thomson is not buried at Patterson Cemetery - Older memorial has him and his wife at Grove Cemetery - info listed below - Headstone photos taken.

I am afraid they are buried Patterson, I have their burial cards. As for Grove cemetery, there is only 1 Thomson buried there, Sarah Jane whom I personally researched for Graeme Bregani.
I will delete mine since Art has copied the data already.
But for the record, they at Patterson.

I am new to Ancestry and still figuring it all out. The person above was my uncle "Butch", who was killed in a car accident. I noticed on his Find-a-Grave page you had added his parents' names. Does that mean you knew them, or just found out through research? Just curious about how this works!
Thanks, Deborah
