Bio and Links
Bio Photo Willing to attempt photo requests within the West Midlands County UK. (inc. former parts of Warwickshire, Worcestershire & Staffordshire & including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton etc.).

ENLARGING PHOTOGRAPHS:
Left click once - This will get a slightly larger photo. Click this enlarged photo and it will open in a separate window. Finally click this photo a third time and it will open to full size.

Note I no longer add memorial inscriptions unless specifically requested to do so, as it is too time consuming. Photos are usually of sufficient quality to make inscriptions readable when enlarged. They should enlarge to at least A3 size before pixelating. I do however make every effort to enter FAG family links where available, and include inscriptions stating family links not shown elsewhere. I also state age at death if shown.
I use a rebuilt Minolta A1 or A2 camera, occasionally employing a flood flash & a few other tricks to highlight detail on badly stained memorials.

Management
Hi Dafydd,

I would be grateful if you could transfer the management of my grandmothers memorial over to myself.

Many Thanks

Sue

RE: Coleshill, Warwickshire Cemetery
I've buggered that up then asking for them to merge!
I'll not be doing that again without checking the facts of administration.
Being relatively local living in Castle Bromwich most of my life, having spent much time in Coleshill I would say most people think of the whole facility as The Coleshill Cemetery at the Church, all be it now split between Council & Church.
Learn something every day my old chap used to say.
You have been busy.
I've been doing Transcriptions of Parish Records for the North Warwicks FHS. Amazes me so many attempts have been made at doing these! The Dba of PR's featured on Ancestry is full of errors in my comparisons. Just completed the Coleshill Baptisms, but also been updating the Ancestry Dba!

And on the opinion, that is my view also. The next best to a monument or area of the cemetery has to be that they are in that Cemetery rather than could be anywhere on the planet!
Bought a Fuji S5000 Finepix which I've been using for those Curdworth shots last year. Much better than my old Sony Cybershot and indeed the Vivitar 3950 I had.

Anyway, keep well, and thanks for a quick reply.

Must do as you suggested and get together over some notes some time, although a pint would be attractive!

Regards
John

Coleshill, Warwickshire Cemetery
Hi Dafydd,
Trust all well with you.
Echoes of Curdworth Cemetery here as we both seem to have created something of a listing for the same place again!
I think it might be best to request the 2 listings to be merged, should have asked your thoughts before doing so, but it does not restrict any new additions by anyone so I've put the request in via the Forum which is the way to do this apparently!
I am intending to do some work on Wishaw Cemetery starting in the next week or so (was waiting for warmer weather than we've had), Think I shall do a Family Tree again as I have with Curdworth. Trouble is these things just cannot get completed as I have still many more in my list for it than there are monuments! FindaGrave by its title means that and without a marker or known position should a Burial that is then a record only be added to the Find A Grave list? What do you feel?
Regards
John

Photo request.
Hi Dafydd, thank you for your assistance, I've corrected the memorial as you suggested, however Find A Grave wont let me submit an other photo request saying there is already a photo request. Any suggestions would be appreciated Regards, DeLucia

Shaws at St. Peter Harborne
Hi Dafydd,

Thank you for the pictures of 1C2R Ada Victoria (Parker) Shaw. An interesting addition to the tree.

I'm over here in the UK meeting these relatives for the first time and we found a box with old papers telling us her married name for the first time and then found her here.

May I attach your pictures (with credits) to her records in Ancestry?

Thank you for helping out so much!
