I am a second generation grave digger. I always enjoyed the weekend trips to graveyards in Western Maryland and Central Pennsylvania. I did the same with my kids and also taught them how to get around a courthouse and library. I live in Ecuador, now and so have to do all of my research online and via kind strangers.|

I was looking at the memorial for Charles W. Taylor Sr. as he is the older brother of my great-great grandfather, Thomas Elwood Taylor. I know he was married to Irene Lamca Taylor -- so I wonder how we might be related. I have done quite a bit of work on the Taylor side and have lots of great old photos -- and I am very willing to share!

Might want to have another look at the dates...he died in 1915.
Hello, I am trying to discover the names of an ancestor's parents. I noticed you have several dates associated with A. Brown's grave/memorial page. Are you related to him? If so? Do you know if he perchance had a daughter named Maria who left Washington County, Maryland with a family (I assume) she was employed by...Phillip Spechler (I may be misspelling the surname as I'm not in front of my notes. Maria Brown was born:06 October 1814 in Washington County, Maryland. She moved to Ogle County, Illinois and worked for a time at the Seminary in Mt. Morris where I believe she met and eventually married my ggg grandfather, John B. Cooley. I'm "fishing" right now for her parents. Any info you could provide on this Abe Brown or if you know if he had a daughter named Maria, would be most appreciated. Stacey
