I am very actively pursuing family information. I maintain an Ancestry.com site, and my brother and I have family photo sites on Smug Mug, where we display all the photos we get from family members and kind souls who share on these programs in hopes of preserving and sharing them with all families who need them. It occurred to me when going through my mother and grandmother's huge trunks full of photos that it was sad for one family to have all those treasures and not share. And, so began my many, many hours of scanning and sharing photos and information.
I also enjoy visiting other memorials and cemetaries and adding flowers, pictures or data to memorials that have no information, or very little. My husband and I walk through cemetaries quite often, and find the headstones so interesting. I love adding to the history of these people, and it grieves me to find one that says "unknown" on a headstone. Genealogy has become a true passion.
My lines are Duncan, Mather, Dodson, Smith, Moore, Bullion, Curtis, Whitehead, Barron, Reid, and you know how that goes - many more! I am happy to share information and photos with those seeking help, and so very much appreciate all that is shared with me.
I live in the Hill Country of Texas, am married, and enjoying retirement.
Please feel free to use my information and any photos I have posted. I do not understand the fuss about using someone's photos. If they are sacred and personal, then don't post them, is my philosophy. We are all here to help one another and share for this and future generations. So many photos get lost in fires, animals getting into boxes, etc., so why keep them private? After we are all gone, our grandchildren and gr-grandchildren will someday be searching for images and information, and if I took it with me, they would be left at a loss. There are so many members in my family, who suffered fires and losses. but they DID have a photo of Great Uncle John, but now it's lost forever. Think about it.
God bless and and Happy Trails..

 | Bufe family & related Lynda, thank YOU so much for adding the links and information that I have given you, and for all the records you have posted! I appreciate so much that you include as much information as you can, rather than just giving birth & death dates - you have helped me fill in a number of gaps in my family tree!!

 | Mattie L. Carswell Cook Hi, Are you related to Mattie, or the cook family, why I ask, I was wondering why Mattie was not buried under her 2nd. husband last name of Clayton. Would you happen to know? Her 2nd. husband name was E. Albert Clayton, born: 1864 New Mexico, died: Tx. Thanks for any information. LindyAdded by Lindy on May 11, 2013 1:14 AM | | | LJBC
 | RE: Fred McMillan The cemetery where he was buried is in awful shape. Not sure if it is from neglect or vandals. I just don't know why the gravestone was in a back yard in Dallas instead of at the cemetery in Centerville...
I removed my memorial out of respect for him and his family.Added by LJBC on May 10, 2013 5:19 AM | | | aiahninchi ohoyo
