RE: Betty May Courrege Rabalais
Thank you. I met Betty and her entire family in 1945 and participated in the memorial service for her first husband who was KIA in the battle for Okinawa in WWII.

O'Pry family
Hi Mary,
After much internet searching, and the help of my cousin Greg de Valcourt, I discovered that the maiden name of Loraine O. Chachere, was O'Pry or Opry. Southwest Louisiana Records: OPRY, Laurine (Ned & Estelle THIBODEAUX) b. 27 June 1904 (CP Ch.: v. 6, p. 36). Ned's date of birth was 3 May 1877, according to both WWI and WWII draft registrations (available on familysearch.org). He signed his name Opry (no apostrophe) on both cards. I have been unable to find anything definitive about Estelle, although she wouldn't be in the Louisiana Deaths index (Secretary of State) if she died after 1964.
You may already have heard from Greg deV. I'm sending this to you because you are the manager of both the Ned O'Pry and Ike Chachere find-a-grave memorials. Ike Sr. was the second cousin of my grandmother. Gladys (wife of Ike Jr.) was first cousin of my grandfather. Best wishes, Pat Marcotte

I entered Betty into Find A Grave without checking. Get the family data from mine, enter it into yours. When complete, let know and I'll delete mine.
