I live in the Central Valley of California, in Hanford. I was born & raised in Los Angeles; 2 brothers and 1 sister. I have been doing genealogy research for over 30 years. Am retired from the County of Tulare. I have assisted in the cataloging/indexing of several of the cemeteries in this area. And I have taken photos of many gravesites in the Los Angeles area for my genealogy work.
Re Eric U'Ren Hi I am new to Find A Grave and am unsure whether anyone has got back to you about the above, the status of your request shows "Open" so I am unsure whether you still require the photo. Anyway, I have found details at this link: http://www.gmct.com.au/deceased-search/ Please let me know if you still require the photo and I will do my best to take the photo for you as soon as possible. As there are 30 photo requests for this cemetery it may take a while before I take them as I need to contact each person to see if they still require the photo then wait for a reply then check where the plot is on the map, and then I will visit the cemetery and take the photos all at the same time. Best Wishes Dianne
RE: Slocum photograph Hi Toni, The Slocum Estate Memorial is most impressive. The front faces west so the sun had not come around enough to prevent the shadow when I took the picture. I can go back and try to take late afternoon pictures to see if I can eliminate the shadow. Best Regards,
RE: Harris, David & Rebecca Toni- Information for this family came from the US Federal Census and other researchers- I am not related to the family. I looked at the 1900 Census for Eva. It looks like to me that she appears as Eva Wilson age 15, relationship to the head of household (Abel Harris) is listed as Gd. dau. (Grand daughter). I dont know if that is correct or not, as David's wife Rebecca is listed as Gd. Dau instead of dau in law. A search of the 1895 NJ state census, brings up David and Rebecca and children living with Abel Harris. There is an Eva WOLSEY age 5-20 years living with them- dont know if that is the same Eva as in 1900 and the last name was written incorrectly on the census. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Abraham Harris 1724-1776 Hi - I am new to find a grave and i was volunteering to find graves and take pictures in my area - you have an open request on Abraham Harris in Mill Hollow Cemetery in Alloways Creek NJ - I was doing some research to find Mill Hollow (I assumed it was supposed to be Lower Alloways Creek) and I found the picture of his headstone on find a grave - so I wanted to let you know so you could remove the request. Let me know if I can find any other graves for you in this area. Dawn
