Each time I create a memorial I delight in thinking that it may someday provide comfort to a loved one or valuable information to a genealogist. |
Transfers - Please use the "Edit" tab on the memorial, send a "Suggest a Correction" including your "ID number", I'm more than happy to transfer memorials to their RELATIVES.
If FAMILY MEMBERS wish to have a memorial deleted I will do so, no questions asked.
Volunteer contributors spend countless hours visiting cemeteries, photographing headstones, obtaining burial information and creating memorials. I am sure everyone would like to know their efforts are appreciated. I know I do.
Some dates/names on the headstones are hard to read. If you can help, please click the Edit tab at the top and input the changes. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in the completion of "Unknown" and incomplete memorials.
Thank you to everyone that made finding and documenting all the cemeteries in Forty Mile County possible. Thank you Kathie for making the many dusty gravel roads we travelled together so much fun!! Collaboration is wonderful and makes any project much more enjoyable.
The Alberta Genealogical Society - Lethbridge Branch gave me access to its Mountain View Cemetery records so unmarked graves and grave locations could be added to FindAGrave. AGS (Lethbridge) has a phenomenal amount of info on file including neatly catalogued obituaries - please support them, if possible. Thanks to all AGS members!!
I would like to thank the Vulcan & District Historical Society for giving me access to all of the Vulcan County Cemetery records and the amazing support of my main contact in that group. WOW!!!!
Thank you as well to everyone that made it possible for me to create memorials for burials at Mountain View and Garden View Cemeteries in Calgary.

You are correct that the memorial I posted for Karl James Tracy at Hillside Cemetery in Medicine Hat was a duplicate. I have removed the memorial. The obituary for Karl James Tracy says that he was survived by a daughter Lois of Calgary as well as son David at home. I have no other information on her.

I want to thank you for posting entries to Find A Grave - as a genealogist I really do appreciate your work.
I do have a question - I'm wondering where you found the name Mary Greene Adsit when the grave stone only has Mary G Adsit. She is my 3X great grandmother and we have heard/seen the name Mary Greene referenced, but we cannot find the source of this information. Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for all you have done.

I agree! There was a cemetery in Salinas, CA several years ago which had a very snotty lady at the front desk and she refused to give me any information whatsoever. I later found that cemetery records are supposed to be public records. Oh, well....
PS. Thanks again for the effort.

Thanks for poking around trying to find Carl's marker for photo purposes. I appreciate the effort and know what it's like. Now I/we know that there is no marker.

Yes, Walter W Willies is one of mine. Thanks I nearly missed him!

Thank you for finding the time to photograph the graves. My 3x Great Uncle and his twin sons were born in Nottinghamshire in England but migrated over to Canada. When researching the family tree the trail had gone cold until I found their graves through this site. Touchingly John and his twin sons Walter and Herbert WILLIES were buried in a shared grave. I hope to travel over to Canada from Little Old England one day soon to see the graves myself.
Thank you for your kindness!

Much appreciated, Yvonne! Thanks for making Anne's memorial page look that much nicer! ~ LRM

Thank you so much for this connection. This is a first real connection to my mother's side that I have been able to confirm family relations. My mother died when I was 5 and in fact Ksenia survived her entire family, surviving 5 years after the death of her children and husband. Sadly she died alone and with her story.
Again my heart filled thanks,
