I have been researching my family and my husband's family for 25 years after a trip to Italy where we found my husband's Italian family. I am signed up to take photos in Orange County, California.|

Not related just returning a favor from long ago. Nancy's Father Nicholas Dorsey signed an affidavit for Richard Allen to verify that he was Free.

You are most welcome, I'm just glad I could help....JP
Cathy, I am researching my 2 times great grandfather William P. Moffett who was born in Carroll Co Maryland in 1840. His father was Samuel Moffett who came to this country from Ireland in 1832. Samuel married Elizabeth Hilderbritt in Carroll Co. Maryland. I am wondering if there is a connection to your William Moffett who came to this country from Ireland in 1805 and settled in Maryland. Have you heard of any connection between Samuel and William. I am wondering since Samuel named his first son William. Thought they might somehow be related as they are both from Ireland and settled in the same place but several years apart. Thanks so much. Anne Maesaka

no nothing new on my end. i think i have come to the point where i have done all that i can do online. i would have no choice but to go to north carolina and search myself, because ordering records by mail is expensive especially if the requested search comes up empty.
Hey! How's your research coming along?

Aw thank you. I was just keeping in touch. I've come across some books that contain James Waugh (the son) and others that traveled back and forth from PA to NC (they may have been siblings). I plan to go to NC next summer to do more research, but we'll see. I'm trying to make a concrete connection between him and his slaves... Evidence is everything.
Hello, hope you had a good thanksgiving and have a good christmas
