Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Michelle Renee "Shelley" (Latey) Broyles. I am the mother of three children and Oma of three. I graduated from The University of Kansas in May with degrees in Applied Behavioral Science and Psychology. I have been researching my family for 18+ years and put as much time as I can into the hobby. My husband, Dan, jokes that my idea of a good vacation is being in a cemetery, which isn't far from the truth. Everywhere I travel I try to stop and take pictures of cemeteries in hopes that someone will be helped in finding family members. I live in Johnson Co., Kansas, so if I can be of help please contact me and let me know. Happy hunting everyone!

I get a lot of requests. Please be as patient as you can. I promise I will get to them. I am not hard-nosed as some contributors are and will be happy to transfer memorials if they are in your family lines and not mine (LATEY-FOX or BROYLES-LONG lines). Also, when communicating remember that "you get more with honey than with vinegar." Thank you everyone!

OH, one more thing, I have the sexton records for the Olathe Cemetery up to, I believe, 2006. I have yet to get them all up. I have taken all the photographs of tombstones if there is one. I am still working on getting all of those up. Let me know if you are wondering about someone and I will look them up for you.

Only leave messages if you are thanking me, or are, or think you are, related. As I go through my messages I delete them, so that I know that I have responded or read them. Please know that I see and appreciate every one of them! :)

**** Sometimes life happens, and it is happening to me right now. I am having some very serious health issues that may result in brain surgery.

Please be as patient as you can. I know some of you have been waiting months for a response. I am not ignoring you. I am starting to work through some 500+ requests now.

I see that some of you have gone through administration, which is fine, but please don't be threatening, or passive aggressive. I am a real person, with real feelings, and with a real life. I am not retired and don't have a lot of time on my hands. I love this work and love you all for the wonderful work you are doing.****

Find A Grave Changes
A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

James Richard Green #41273769
You Show on the Memorial Page James Richard Green as the Husband of Maud Green in the Rosedale Cemetery in Ada Oklahoma. Maud Green (Dew) was the Great Aunt of my wife Jane Deemer (Dew). Maud's husband was John F Green's as shown on the grave marker. The wife of James Green was Josie Green #41273809 as shown on their marker also in Rosedale Cemetery. Can I request that you make the change to the memorial James as the spouse of Maud. I will also post a notice on the Memorial in case you did not make this addition

Violet "Viley" Howard Gregg
Thank you for creating a page for Violet "Viley" Howard Gregg, and for photographing her marker. Could I please use the photo, giving credit to you, in my family tree records? She is a distant relative of mine. Thank you for your time and consideration.
