I was born in Atlanta and grew up in Royston, Georgia. I met my wife Sharman Rogers Fricks in May 1990 in Athens, Georgia.

We married at Tallassee Rd Church on August 5th, 1995. We moved to Savannah, Georgia in December 1993. Then in June 2000, we decided to moved to Tampa, or Temple Terrace, Florida where my wife grew up.

Shortly after arriving in Savannah, Georgia, I begin to teach myself the many different research tools that were available to the public.

Savannah was rich in history and I soon spent my weekends at the Savannah Historical Society on Whitaker Street and the old Bull Street Library researching old microfilm machines.

I have spent much of my time since those foggy Savannah mornings researching baseball and other historically significant subjects about the history of the great state of Georgia - a place I love unconditionally.

History is the greatest form of knowledge a person can incorporate into human intelligence.
