Bio and Links
Bio Photo I just love walking through cemeteries photographing headstones as there are usually so many interesting ones. It's amazing how much information one can get from these headstones, especially the older ones. I believe in immortalizing what we can of these stones for the future and let others know that at one point in time, these people lived.

Remember...."The findagrave goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal is to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Never deliberately create a duplicate memorial. ~~~Jim Tipton, creator of Find A Grave."

Please remember to ALWAYS thank the Photo Volunteer for their time in locating your family's grave and taking the photo for you. Many people are becoming very rude in not thanking those who go out of their way to help them and many requests go unfulfilled because of it. Remember we are in this together to help each other and a simple Thank You goes a long way.

Feel free to use the photos of your loved ones resting place for your genealogy research and your personal family tree.

PLEASE, PLEASE SEND ALL CORRECTIONS, ADDITIONS, LINKS, ETC FROM THE EDIT BUTTON (THAT IS WHY IT IS THERE) ON THE MEMORIAL. IT WILL SAVE SO MUCH TIME IN SEARCHING FOR THE CORRECT MEMORIAL AS THE NUMBERS THAT ARE TYPED IN ON EMAILS AND IN THE MESSAGE BOARD ARE NOT ALWAYS GOING TO THE CORRECT MEMORIALS.

Please do NOT post memorials for those who are still alive just so that you have "claim" on their memorial. It's in very poor taste.

PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR TRANSFERS ON THIS PAGE AS THEY WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. USE THE EDIT TAB FOR THE MEMORIAL IN QUESTION AND CLICK ON OTHER SUGGESTION. THANK YOU.

Note about the Edit selections: Since this has now made it easier for people to send in changes on dates, names, death and birth locations and links to family, I have been finding that many edits have been INCORRECT and I am the one that receives the NASTY emails from those who find it hard to be polite and ask nicely to fix the errors that are sent by other contributors who try hard to help make the memorials complete.

FROM NOW ON!!!!!....I will NOT accept ANY edit until I have researched what is sent. To make the edits faster, emailing me the information at the same time would make it easier to know WHERE the information is coming from and this includes FAMILY LINKS.

Thank you.

RE: mistakes
Did you have time to take a look? I added a bio. The death record did say St. Mary's.

RE: mistakes
I will try to copy the list...but she said she did not have George and Mary Jane.
She did say all the other Bucks belong in Oakwood though. I have no idea if she is a member of Find A Grave, I kind of doubt it...told her it was free to join but she may already have too much on her plate.

Miles Chana
Thanks so much for taking the Chana tombstone pictures !!!

I think the tombstone for Miles was put up in 1948, years after Miles died. I suspect there is just an error on it as to the birth year of Miles.

One way to find out for sure is to take a look at the burial permit. After abt 1900, you had to have a burial permit, in order to bury someone. The cemetery may have one or they could have one at the County Recorders Office.
Or, they could have one at the State level. That could be compared to the death certificate, which I show on his memorial.

Are you related to these folks? I have forgotten.

Zoe
