Dorothy was born at Alley's Bay on Beals Island, Maine; and she enjoyed her genealogy adventures and hoped to pass them onto the next generation. She loved her wonderful country and she was very proud of her grandson who served his country in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Update: My Mom passed away on 9/2/2015 and I (her daughter Linda) am trying to maintain her acct to help others. Please leave a message and I will try to help as much as I can. God Speed!
RE: Momma O Hi linda after I sent reply I went on find a grave and found your mother's grave with her picture I'm sorry I didn't know your mother passed away and the picture on your mother's account wasn't her and it mentioned maine I never made the connection I'm sorry Kurt
RE: Momma O Yes if you could transfer ownership to me that would be great because I have important information to add to it soon, I was curious who you are? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. Are you able to delete my father's because I put in my own months ago because there was no information anyway. Thanks Kurt
RE: Nelson Abbott 91999550 No need to transfer, I am not related. My wife and I were on vacation up North, Maine and Nova Scotia back in the summer and we took a lot of pictures. I like to take time and research some of the people we find in the cemeteries we visit. My wife says too much time!
I was saddened to hear of your Mother's passing, she seemed like a wonderful person and I know you miss her. We will keep you and your family in our prayers-- Billy
I happened upon this site while looking for my uncle's grave location at the National Cemetery in Bourne. To my surprise two William D. Spooner's came up, one of them was his brother Robert, my dad. I was utterly shocked when a picture of him came up. It looks as though it is a high school graduation picture but I've never seen it before. I'm not sure how you know them, but I just wanted to say thank you for your time and efforts in adding them both to this site. I also noticed you thanked them for their service. How very thoughtful and caring of you to take the time to do that. It is truly appreciated.
Take care, Kelly Byrne Weymouth, MA email@example.com
ps. I did request an edit to correct the name and add birthdate :-)
At the present time I am unable to take over the ownership. If you can, just leave the info. I sent on the site for others. And hopefully in the near future, someone who can dedicate the proper time and attention will step forward and take ownership.
I'll be thinking of your family during the upcoming holidays.
E (Old Soul)
PS If no one is interested in keeping the info she gathered, and/or she hasn't made any stipulations for it, please don't throw it out, donate it to the local genealogical/historical society.
