My name is Ed Cook, and I just saw your memorial for Cdr Lauren Everett. I was in the same Navy squadron on board the USS Enterprise the day his plane went down in the Tonkin Gulf. I was not aware that his body was ever recovered. Do you have any more information, or do you know if Lt.Cdr. Paul Stokes body was recovered? I remember we stopped dead in the water for about an hour. Search and rescue efforts turned up nothing, so we had to sail on. It was a dark day for my squadron as well as for the ship. I was about to create one myself tonight until I had found your posting. Harvey's Family still resides in Hamilton County Ohio. I am out here in San Diego,(Imperial Beach)CA.
