If you post a photo to a memorial that I manage, PLEASE submit an edit request so that I can add any details that are different.
If any memorial doesn't yet have a photo, please put in a photo request. It's the easiest way to confirm dates and spellings of names.

Yes. Jane Whitehouse is my g-g-grandmother. The William Whitehouse grave is her son, actually Wm. Whitehouse Jr. Jane's husband (William Whitehouse) died in 1874 in Pleasant Hill, Saline Co, NB. (I do have a photo of his headstone.)
Thanks again for your work with FindaGrave. I use it all the time, and it often is the tool to help solve a puzzle.

|MrsB||Sacco obit and Wagner photo|
THANK YOU so much for sending me the obit showing the maiden name was Conti. Thank you too for taking an area photo as well as the close-up. So often the area photos help establish relationships. I always will appreciate having obits. I re-write them just a little, cite the source, and I thank you for your extra time and courtesy! The re-write normally involves putting it in the format birth, life, died, while the newspaper usually is died and funeral information first. The memorials often reveal what really was important to the person--their church, a charity, and so forth.
Incidentally, I visited on the phone with a World-Herald staff writer about using parts of a longer obit (one that she had written; not from a funeral home). She said "remember what you were taught in school about citing sources", and was fine with it. Then today there was a note in, I think, Dear Abby, from a funeral director. Somebody had fussed about not publishing the fact that a teen had died by suicide. The director said that the family decides what is and isn't published. I realize there are different philosophies about obits, but it is important to me to honor the family wishes about what is made public, and to cite sources whenever possible.

|Tonna ||RE: The Rogert family|
Thank you for getting back to me. It would really be nice of you to check this out when you can.
Carl was born in Germany Nov. 20, 1822 and died in Omaha Nov 12 1892. When my relatives were at the cemetery, they informed me that they had to dig down in the ground about 4" before they found his headstone. The person who was working at the cemetery at the time said they would raise his stone and make record of the burial, as they had no record of it?. Hopefully they followed through with what they said they would do.
Thank you again for helping me on this.

|Tonna ||RE: The Rogert family|
Hi, Thank you for the offer, but at this time I will have to say no. By the way, how are you related to the family? Also, I received a letter from one of my Rogert relatives many years ago regarding Carl Rogert's grave. They found the head stone in Evergreen, but when I tried to do a search for it a few days ago on the find a grave website, it did not come up. Do you know anything about his headstone? Thank you again for the offer. Take care.

Oh, I wish I had known you were there...
I was trying the new findagrave app for Android. I was having trouble with getting the photos to rotate correctly. Thanks for letting me know.
