Bio and Links
Bio Photo Something I forgot to add, I am always on the lookout for unusual names, have added quite a few that are the only one listed, which is hard to do on here.I also wanted to tell everyone , many thanks for the updates, corrections, add on articles etc, and apologize for never writing back and saying it is done..I will always do the edit, but do not write everybody to let them know I did..I get so many edit requests, and do not mind doing them at all...Thanks again....I live in Baton Rouge La.Though I have listings in many states, most are within a days drive on my home.I really enjoy fulfilling photo requests, it is like a treasure hunt, and I like knowing I am helping a loved one connect in some small way.I love driving back roads and finding cemeteries in the middle of nowhere.I add veterans of most all the wars,as a small tribute to those that have shaped our country. But I have a special affinity for the guys of World War II.These soldiers are the reason today we are a free country and we are losing them at a rate of over 1100 a day.Take time out to thank them .And then there are the ones that reach out and for whatever reason touch me.I also seek any family last names, such as Cox,Cover,Vaughn.I usually enter the info directly from the grave marker, but will add any info requested. If any errors are found please let me know and I will correct.I do find such peace and love and sadness while walking these sites. Also every one of these I have entered I actually walked the cemetery. Therefore a little more personal to me. Please if you are new on here, we do welcome you, but be respectful of the rules and regulations.I want to apologize for all my errors. When I first started entering graves 11 years ago, i wrote the info down and transferred it, many times it was raining or I just could not understand my writing. Later years I add from a picture usually. So please forgive my early attempts

RE: greenoaks
Congratulations on your find!!! I only lucked up and found 1 of the ones I am searching for my family tree. There are still 3 in Greenoaks that I cannot find.

No. The heat was starting to get to me. I may go back out there one day this week, but with an earlier start.

Just got back home. I'm done for this week. I have claims on the ones I found.

Bobby thanks for completing the request for "Scott." He was a dear classmate of mine and now nearly 25 years after high school I am reminded of him and one of the last visits I had with him before he succumbed to cancer. Unable to attend his funeral I am now able to get closure thanks to you. A newbie to this site... I'm learning the ropes from pro's like you. Thanks again.

Sorry that you went to all that trouble (in the heat!), and the graves were not to be found. I really hoped that we had just missed them somehow.

I appreciate your efforts.

Thanks for the Henri Moreau photo. I will set up a listing for his wife, Celestine Lanclos Moreau, and would appreciate it if you would add your picture to that one as well.

Fike family

Friendsville is a rally point for the Fike's in Maryland after they moved from Pennsylvania.

My branch stopped there for a while and then moved on to the Eglon, West Virginia area in the 1850's
