Bio and Links
Bio Photo A Baby Boomer, born on August 9, 1951, now considered a Senior Citizen. That makes me laugh -- I don't feel like a Senior Citizen, but I do take advantage of the discounts!

I retired from the Sheboygan Police Department on my birthday, August 9, 2013.

My only child, Rebecca Rose, suffered and died of leukemia when she was "almost five." It's true when they say, you can't understand the pain and grief of losing a child unless you have experienced it yourself. How I wish Find A Grave had been around in 1983 when Becky passed away. Find A Grave has been a true comfort and a blessing to me personally. Such wonderful people I have met here!

My husband is Daniel. We married on September 4, 1999. He is a retired Technical Sergeant of the United States Air Force. He has two wonderful adult daughters from a previous marriage, Melina in Lynchburg, VA, and Sally in St. Louis, MO. I have two wonderful son-in-laws, Melina's husband Wil, and Sally's husband Chris. I am also a step-grandmother to Liam and Mila, but Sally corrects me and says I'm just grandma, forget the step. Melina and Wil are the parents of Priscilla and Moises. This is a joy I thought I'd never experience -- being a grandmother to four beautiful children!

Note: THANK YOU to all the kind people who have left notes and/or flowers on the sites of my loved ones. I believe that every time someone leaves a message, the person it was intended for knows that you are thinking of them, which is very comforting to me.

Your Note and Happy Birthday!!!
Dear Lori,
Thank you for your sweet note. The loss of a child must be the most painful experience you could ever have. My son is 43 and I can't imagine life without him. I am also a "Baby Boomer", and will be playing the Beatles song, "When I'm 64" on September 29th of this year! I don't remember how I got to be a Senior Citizen, when guys who I thought were cute startled me by saying that "My mom likes that song, too.", making me feel all too old [and somewhat embarrassed]. My sister likes to give me a bad time because I still haven't dyed my hair, although, since my car acc'd. in February I've noticed quite a few more white hairs and I'm surprised (and grateful) that so many people are so nice to me as I still use a walker while I get all healed up. When did I go from "Miss" to "Ma'am"? How can my son be the age I never imagined I'd be? How can it be 24 years since I rode to Montana for my 40th birthday? Find A Grave is a special site for all of us who are grieving and I'm so grateful for it. Thank you for your sweet note. I hope your birthday was a happy one. Take care and God Bless. With All Sincerity,
Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, Oregon
