I am a lifetime resident of Hiawatha, Brown County, Kansas. I have been working on my family genealogy since 2002, and my husband's family since 2006.

A lot of the photos that I upload to Find a Grave I take time to post some additional information, like the location within the cemetery, or other things that I feel might be of interest to family members who can not make the trip themselves, or that could help them locate the stones if they do make the trip. I have also started going back and adding death notices and obits to some of my pages in Brown County cemeteries as I have time. On pages that I do not manage, but have posted the headstone pictures, I have been adding the information in the comments section beneath the picture. So please click on any photo that I have uploaded and scroll down to the bottom to see if there is any additional information for you.

Clarence Eisenbise
Hi Paula,
I just found an article of Aug of 1919. There was a Clarence Eisenbise and a couple of other young men killed at a railroad crossing in Sabetha.
I'm still curious about the marker and its condition.

You posted a grave marker photo for Clarence Eisenbise in the Morrill Cemetery. (1897-1919)
I'm curious to know if you have any info about him or the marker itself. The marker looks too new to have been around since 1919. Also, he was only 22 at the time, and I wonder about his cause of death.

Thank you for your time in efforts on the photo and for reading this message.

RE: John Hawkins Clark
No problem. I don't like duplicates either.
I obtained quite a few memorials from a 'fallen graver', and have not updated or verified a few of them. Thank you for pointing it out to me.
Have a great day!

Thank you so much, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, been traveling this past month. I guess she still could be alive as she would be 94. I have a g. aunt in law that is 92 this year. I can't believe Linda Morris would list a memorial for her without proof. So she must have had something to say she was buried there.iI couldn't find any other record of her death, though been looking. Again thank you for getting this.
