Any memorial page I have created I have a picture of the headstone. I am adding quite a few new memorial pages with out taking time to process all the pictures. This way someone may find a cemetery location while I process everything.|
If you find an error,double listing or double picture please let me know so I can correct the problem.
I have in the past used a picture of the cemetery gate/sign with "Office couldn't locate a burial for this person" imprinted on it. If you get this posting and do find a picture of you persons tombstone, let me know and I will remove it.
Because I do not have the time to research and prove the accuracy of the data submitted by others, I include the name and member number of the person submitting additional information.
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Bulk surname requests should not be made. I love to transfer to family members when I can.
Obits: It is best to not copy obituary notices from newspapers to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper or family member who wrote it to do so. There is a fine line of copyright when using full copies of obituaries and it is my choice not to add any to memorial pages.

THANKS, Karen, for the clear, readable pic. Would you mind uploading that photo to wife, Pearl's memorial, Find A Grave Memorial# 121272579. I can make a photo request for you if you desire.

Thanks for taking and uploading the photo. Of course I was disappointed that there is apparently no grave marker for her. How did you know that that was her area? Is it common in that cemetery to have graves with no markers?
|Nick OBrien||RE: Marvin Smith|
I see. A concrete marker will last a while, but nowhere near as long as granite. I've alerted some relatives to this and we'll see how much interest there is in getting a permanent stone. I'm curious about one thing: Do you happen to remember whether there were any nearby "Smith" markers? In particular, I'm looking for his wife, Elsie. Thanks again for your help.
|Nick OBrien||Marvin Smith|
Hi, Karen, thank you so much for the Marvin Smith marker photo. That was fast! It's kind of sad to see the condition of the stone. I wonder what it would take to freshen it up a bit?

Thanks again Karen. I have found the Washington Archives resource! That's how I found John's brother and sister's death records and marriage records, too. I requested the Gustav A Keil death record as well but he's definitely not 'mine'. Wrong parents. There is at least one other person of the same name who lived in Seattle at the same time and shows up on the city directories long after the other one died in 1916. I will ask SGS to do some research in their collections for me.

Thank you very much, Karen, for the photo of my 2nd cousin's headstone!
His family has been a brick wall for me for years and I just recently found first him, then his sister and brother in Seattle. Nobody knew where they had gone after his mother died in 1910. I still haven't confirmed that his father lived in Seattle, too, but I suspect he did. Wish me luck!
Thanks again for doing this for me!

Thank you so much for the photo of my Uncle Pat's gravestone. I was especially thrilled to see his first wife on the marker, as well. I wasn't certain where she was buried and I am so happy that they are together. Again thank you!
