|I was born in Arkansas, grew up in Yell Co., AR close to the Logan Co. line. In 2011 retired and now living in Coos Bay, OR.|
My mother was a Davis, I am a descendant of John Henry Davis born in SC and died Johnson Co., AR.
Family names on my mother's side ar Berry, Davis, Hill, Horn, Howe, Newberry, Stewart.
On my Fathers side I am a descendant of Willim Morris born 1735 and died 1804 Mecklenburg County,NC and John Foard (one of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence signers). Othe family names on my Fathers side ar Dexter,Houston, Jones, Kester, Morris,Shaffer.
I got interested in tracing my ancestors around 1980 and wish I had started sooner so I could have gotten more information from my grandmoter (my father's mother) because I have run into a brick wall on her family. When I started I did not have a computer and it was many trips to the libraries and court houses and copy machines. But along came more technology making everything much easier. When I go to do interview I take my tape record, laptop, scanner and camera. I have collected so much information that I had to get an external drive 500 GB, which is almot full. This is dedicated to genealogy only, ready for the bigger external drive.
When it is feasible I go out and take pictures of head stone and place them on findagrave. I try to be of assistance whenever possible.
At the present my family tree has 33,984 people of course I am not related to all of them. Wehn I am doing research I usually go as far as I can when I am tracing people, which I then end up with people I can share with their families that are searching.
I have made serval contact through findagrave and found many distant relatives.

Thanks so very much for the quick transfer of these two memorials. You're very gracious and I am so grateful that you created these two memorial of my family members. If I can ever return the favor, please do not hesitate to contact me.
|David J Bollman||Thanks|
for the information

Based on the dates this appears to be Irvin Holman but according to the person who went to photo the grave at the indicated location there was only a marker for John Holman not one for Irvin. There obviously is on though and I am wondering if you can tell us where it is.
This is my G-G-Uncle. Would you consider transferring the Memorial over to me?
Thanks for the burial info for Stephen Lindsey. I've added it to his memorial this morning. Appreciate your assistance and the photo of his stone as well.
Thanks for the info

Happy to help! I'm still working on New Hope Cemetery photos; there are over 1600 graves there. It's disappointing that a number of them are not marked.

Glad to take the photo; do you have other from New Hope that you need?

I'm not related. But I noticed you have 2 people that are the same person: # 27905256 & # 27905281 are WILLIAM COLUMBUS SATTERFIELD. One died 1898 and the other died 1912. I noticed on ancestry.com most of the records say he died before 1900 federal census.
You have a great day
