Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In my free time, I'm a military researcher / historian whose key area of interest is in the World War II and Korean War eras. However, my overall, never-ending goal is to try to acknowledge the service of all our country's warriors.

In an effort to accomplish this goal, I created the Military Hall of Honor to honor all veterans, living and deceased, and use it along with FindaGrave. Membership is free and available to all who wish to contribute military records, bios, photos, honor the military with tributes, leave remembrances, etc.

I meant to say that there are 2 more pictures of him in uniform on the Find a Grave site, both of which may gladly be used. I just looked at the Military Hall of Honor page. Very nice! Thanks. Quite an undertaking!!!

Yes, very proud of my father and his entire military career. Some of his WWII memorabilia are housed in a display at The National Museum of WWII Aviation in Colorado Springs. It includes escape route maps which he used after his plane was downed on his first mission, requiring him to evade the enemy for 10 days in Yugoslavia with the help of the partisans. He went on to fly 35 more combat missions during WWII and then, of course, more missions in a B-52 during the Vietnam War.

Thanks for adding Roy Reneau, Jr. to your project. He was my mother's brother, the uncle I never met. His story is on his Find A Grave page.

Yes,Charles, you may use the photo of my father, William E. Yinger on the site you mentioned. You may also use the uniformed picture of Roy Reneau, Jr., another of my relatives who lost his life in WWII (Find A Grave Memorial# 106422681).

Corp Warren Henry Rayla Jr
Memorial #13683081. Hello Charles. You have added a personal photo to the above memorial. Corp Rayla was the son of my grand aunt Ruthie Shaw. Would you grant permission to use this photo in his profile on my ancestry.com family tree? My husband is also a Vietnam veteran and I would like to make sure Corp Rayla is remembered. Thank you. Sandi

Thank you for your consideration. I have a PDF copy of the official notification from the Department of the Army, posthumously awarding Joseph John Strucel the Silver Star. How can I send this to you?

LCpl Dailey & LCpl Daley Mix Up.

Hi Charles,

Would you please remove the photo of LCpl Dailey
that you posted on his memorial #63396804. The
photo of Dailey isn't correct. It's not him.

It's the photo of LCpl Daley, memorial #124272427 Which is the photo of LCpl Daley.

If you go to the VVMF website and look at both of them you will see that someone posted the same photo of LCpl Daley on the page of LCpl Dailey.

You will notice that the photo of LCpl Daley has his name underneath his photo, whereas the photo of LCpl Dailey, the name was cut off when it was posted on his page.

Big mix up on the VVMF page.

Thanks,
Tony #47235247
