Please feel free to use any of the headstone pictures that we have posted...no credit is necessary.
My 75+ year old dad, my sister and I take photos to help other people find clues to fill in the branches of their family tree to help people answer the question "Where did I come from?". We live in Canada.
You may upload our photos freely to other projects you are working on (ie. CanadianHeadstones, Canada Genweb, Canadian Gravemarker Gallery, Billions of Graves, your genealogy society, your personal trees, your own website, Ancestry dot com, Military projects, etc. etc.)
WE ARE VOLUNTEERING so that the people who have gone before us CAN BE REMEMBERED by those who care to look for them. We photograph graves of all timeframes because todays graves are the "old" graves decades from now.
****** INSTRUCTIONS: CHANGES to MEMORIALS: To add or remove any information from a memorial, go to that particular memorial with your web browser. Then click on the EDIT tab. Things like dates, birthplaces, parents and spouses should all be submitted that way. If you want to add something to the Bio or request it be transferred to you, click the last option which is "Submit any other correction or suggestion". This is a super system and saves people a lot of work when changes need to be made.
William Stephen and Elspet Newlands Heather, I found info that you posted about the grave of Elspet Newlands, her husband William Stephen some of their children. It also said my 4X Great Grandparents. Did you make that note or was it someone else? That couple are my 3X Great Grandparents, would be happy to share and compare. email@example.com Regards Janet
Photo request for St Mark's Emsdale Hello Heather, I noticed that you have 4 requests in. Don't know if I can put this link here or not but the Hayward photos you requested are on this site...http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~murrayp/parrysnd/emsdale/st_marks/page0002.htm
forest Lawn request If you contact their office (through email) and request their location I would take a photo for you. I have been in their office a few times and I think they are tired of seeing me. They would be more willing to do a lookup if the request came from a family member. Once you have the location just enter it into the memorial page and it will show on the photo request. Thank you, Karen

I am looking for our ancestors- Pettypieces headstones from the Ottawa area. Our Pettypiece/Pettapiece line left the Ottawa area & travelled west to Manitoba,Sask & finally Alberta & BC.I live in Victoria. I am trying to locate the gravesite of William Pettypiece(1798-died 1878? in north Gower) also his wife Susan Morrison-pettypiece(1805-1896?) Have you ever seen or know if there is any tombstone for william & susan pettypieces. The name is spelled several different ways. Thank you for any information you could provide. Darlyn
McIntosh in Monymusk Hi, Heather I've not come across any Parks as yet. Just beginning to go back into this line after approx 20 years or so. My interest in Reids is via my grandmother's line starting with George Reid & Ann Lawson but two lines of Reid intermarried so a bit of a job untangling! Have you checked out the ANESFHS MIDatabank as yet? Not all Abdn cemeteries listed all of the transcribed MIs are searchable which is where I found the Monymusk line. I can borrow these booklets from the local library which is very handy. If you want to email me, rather than leave messages, that's fine by me. Regards
