|I am a lifetime resident of Hiawatha, Brown County, Kansas. I have been working on my family genealogy since 2002, and my husband's family since 2006. |
A lot of the photos that I upload to Find a Grave I take time to post some additional information, like the location within the cemetery, or other things that I feel might be of interest to family members who can not make the trip themselves, or that could help them locate the stones if they do make the trip. I have also started going back and adding death notices and obits to some of my pages in Brown County cemeteries as I have time. On pages that I do not manage, but have posted the headstone pictures, I have been adding the information in the comments section beneath the picture. So please click on any photo that I have uploaded and scroll down to the bottom to see if there is any additional information for you.
"The goal at Find A Grave should not be to manage all of your family members. If you have information to add, you should suggest it to the current manager and they should make the changes."
~Jim Tipton, creator of Find A Grave.

Would you be willing to transfer Mary West Tiffany's #90887382, In Mt. Hope Cemetery.
She would be my GGG Grandmother, I have just located research information of her 2 children. I continued to make updates on her and it would be easier to make changes directly.
It was during the mid 1980's when my grandmother I made a visit to Hiawatha, to locate her burial and place a monument for you.
Thanks for considering this.

You are correct. The other page has the burial site wrong. I wonder if one of us should ask the other person to remove their page. I don't know the procedure... I actually thought it would be best for me to leave it up to the two of you.
Are you Pearl family? If so, I have a story for you.

Hello Paula Segrest
Do you possibly know the actual names of W.C. Riggs and his parents H.C. Riggs and E.R. Riggs ?
|Joanne Scobee Morgan||RE: Sarah McFadden|
Oh. I sent that through the edit key. This was just so you would know why I did it. Sorry. I should have said.

I do appreciate you adding the 4 photos to the following memorial # 81824623. I have been studying my family history for many years and I just recently got my oldest son to join me in the learning experience. We went to Hiawatha yesterday to take pictures of the family graves in Mt Hope Cemetery and Immanuel Lutheran Church with my sons new camera. He has several pictures that we would like to add to Gustav Plamann's memorial. Could I please ask you to remove 2 or 3 of your photos you have uploaded to this memorial so I can add a few of my son's photos? Thank you in advance.

I appreciate it Paula.
I have Paul Howard marrying Lucille Marie Jackson Devaney. She had another son from the prior Devaney marriage and a they had Robert Bruce Howard. Paul, Marie and Robert are all buried together. Robert is in the household of William E in 1925 and listed as grandson and in 1930 he is living with Grace Marie Miller, Paul's sister and her husband and listed as nephew. Paul went to Oregon and Idaho after wife's death
I appreciate your looking into it. My information is census based and on W E Howard's obit. Does not list Robert or Marie as children, only Paul, William and Mrs George Miller: Grace Marie.
Again thanks for all you do

I'm sorry. Misread my notes.
Excellent job you do!

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your grave marker and person's photos on my family website. Check it out at http://freienmuth-shortridge.com/ernst/buchheim-cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.
