Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits!

Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.

To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.

Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!

The exception:
Requesting a transfer, adding family links, or other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.

Thanks, Connie!

Sorry I hit the decline button. I think I was wrong but I am checking this. But who is Bill Mcelreath? Julia is my Great Rev Uncle Fate McElreath's sister.

RE: Rosanna Thompson
Hi Ruth-

How exciting! You are so very, very, very welcome! I love a good hunt! And I can see why it would be easy for someone to pass over Anna's temp marker. I recognized the few last letters in the name of "Thompson" and thought maybe it was her, so picked some of the grass around it to check the name. As you can tell, the letters are filled with moss. Sometimes this helps to identify a marker, and sometimes not. In this case, it was easier to see the name "Anna".

Although, next to John - the grass may have earlier been covering the temp marker for Anna, so the other person may not have been able to see the marker at all. Temp markers are not very large - about 10 inches by 5-6 inches. So when the grass begins to cover it, the marker is very obscured. I have uncovered about 50 markers in another block in the past few months, where I knew people were buried. Often times, the marker will be covered by about 5-8 inches of grass and dirt. Traditionally, the cemetery used these temp markers from about late 1800's to 1960's.

I will be sending you a private email about the temp marker. and some more pics. THANK YOU for your kind words - and you have made MY day! If even I am able to help anyone else in finding their family members, then I am happy!

Happy New Year to you!
Tami

Rosanna Thompson
Hi Ruth-

I found the location of Anna's grave in Evergreen Cemetery in Everett, WA. Your Memorial # 106909474. I have added a picture of her marker. The marker is a temp one but still very readable. The lot owner was listed as S.E. Barlow of Portland, OR. She is buried next to another Barlow who died in 1941. Cemetery records have Rosanna listed as Anna.

Beautiful area of the cemetery, and I am willing to send you pictures. Let me know if you would like them.

Cheers!
Tami

Do you know if he was also married to Lillian Gertrude Anderson around 1920?

Thanks

Rosa Keller
Yes it answers my question. I have seen those listings. I have also seen her name listed as Rosa Wright Keller. I am not sure if it is a name mix up or if she took her mothers maiden name. On all of the children's births it list her maiden name as Keller. I am originally from Kannapolis and will be down that way soon. I am curious to see what her headstone says.
