I was born in Springfield, MO. When I was five years old my family moved to Southern CA. Over the years our family made many trips back to Springfield and Kansas on the old Route 66 to visit our relatives. I moved back to Springfield about 22 years ago. In CA I worked for a large aerospace corporation for ten years and at a college university for over 8 years. I am an artist. I love to paint with oils. I have many paintings hanging from LA across the US and here in Springfield. I also like creating arts and crafts, cooking, and teaching others how to do the same. I also do volunteer work for the veterans (all wars).|
I am searching for Bond, Ramsey, Wells, McCormick/McCormack, and Hathcock family members.

Hi Sandra -
Nice to meet you! I have a picture of my great-grandmother, Huldah Jane McCormack - and one of Russell McCormack, her father.
We probably need to compare our information at some point. I had a ton of stuff - as I did genealogy for 25 years and a LOT on the McCormacks. Unfortunately, my house burned down - so I lost it. I'm in the process of trying to recoup some of it - although I'll probably die before I get it all. No way!!!!
I'm still looking for Johnson's parents. I know that some think they have found them - but I'm not totally convinced...yet. ha ha I also have some 'problems' with Nancy Litton's parents.

I do not have a picture of the cemetery, and I am a little embarrassed to say that I can not remember which cemetery that Joseph was in.
If you can help me out with which cemetery I can get a photo of the cemetery for you.

Great to meet you too! I enjoy research quite a bit. Unfortunately, I've been stuck on good ole Johnson McCormack. Two wives but no clear father.
I found that same information linking him on Ancestry.com and was really excited, however, I have been unable to find any conclusive evidence regarding the connection to the Johnson McCormack (ours) that I can document via census records and other items, and Johnston Easton McCormick connected to Dr. John Isaac McCormick located at White House Farm.
I actually visited White House Farm in West Virginia where Dr. John lived.
However, the history of Webster County published in 1889 has Johnson McCormack listed as coming to Tennesee with his folks when he was young and marrying Mercilla in 1827.
Johnston Easton McCormick moved from VA to Ohio (which may have actually been a part of VA when he first moved there.) While he'd be old enough to be Johnson's father, the fact that, as far as I can tell, he never lived in TN sort of discourages that.
I tend to believe the story about TN because it was created closer to the actual events. However, I corresponded with a woman on Ancestry who said that, in a story on Pleasant McCormack, it supposedly says that they traveled to Missouri in 1836 from Richmond, VA. So who knows for sure.
Any conclusive evidence regarding Johnson McCormack's father would be much appreciated!
