Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the 1980's I started researching my Linn ancestors (without benefit of computer) but got busy with my sons' activities and put it on hold. In 1999 a cousin got me involved with my Steinberg ancestors and I have been going full speed ahead ever since.

Upon graduating from the University of Illinois my father obtained employment in the State of Washington, far from any relatives. My ancestors (after entering the USA)settled in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey - I want to experience first hand where and how they lived so I travel the country obtaining data, meeting people, seeing the sights and tramping cemeteries. I missed the "cousin experience" growing up and think that is why I enjoy genealogy so much -- meeting new cousins (who cares if they are 1st or 10th cousins)and sharing our family histories.

I am researching Linn, Gibson, Weir, Scott, Polk, Steinberg, Koerner, Mitten, Bennett, Switzer (Swisher), Slonaker, Shaw, Townsend, McCarty and Whitehead, Miller, Schroen, Glabe, Schafer/Schaefer/Shafer. I am also reseaching Dishon, Deshon, DeShon, Deschamps and Herrold for my two sons.

RE: Infant Linn
Jan, I was looking on line a while back and I think it was you asking about Carrie A. Linn that married John C. Maguire. I have a copy of their marriage record.
I also have a copy of Robert N. Linn to Mary McDonald.
If you dont have them I would be happy to send you copies!

Hi Jan, they are the same person. There is a marker for Mrs. L.W.Gorton. Very easy to fix. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
Thanks,
David

RE: Arley Addison
Hello Jan

I returned to Ivy Lawn Memorial Cemetery today, and checked the surrounding area for a possible gravestone for Arley's wife. I could find nothing. I am very sorry.

Hello again Jan

Just checked the records at Ivy Lawn. There are several Addisons interred there, but only two are female. A Elizbeth l. Addison 1870-1954, and a Lottie M. Addison 1889-1974. Lottie shares a headstone with a Fred A. Addison.

RE: Arley Addison
Hello Jan

I don't recall seeing one for a wife, but I sometimes get a little too concentrated on doing the request and moving on to another one. I will be heading back to Ivy Lawn sometime next week and I will make an effort to stop by Arley's site again, and see what I can find.
