Bio Photo NOTE:

I have been dealing with health issues, and I am trying to catch up. Please be patient. I have done some graving lately, but am still posting what photos I have left from last year, and there are lots of them. Many thanks!

Been "graving" for over 40 years...

I do not give permission for my photos uploaded to this website to be posted on any other website (and that includes and is not limited to Ancestry.com). Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Lifting the photo to use elsewhere (on other sites) would be a violation of copyright, and a violation of Find A Grave's policy as well. Ancestry (of which I am not a member but do check from time to time) provides a link feature for you to add a link to Find A Grave memorials. Please read the Ancestry Terms of Use regarding copyrighted photos. Stealing them from here and uploading them there can result in the loss of your account there, with your money non-refundable.

REMEMBER: Just because a picture is on the Internet doesn't mean you are entitled to it!

Also, when requesting transfers, submitting corrections, etc., please use the EDIT tab in the upper right hand corner of the memorial. That way, I get all the links and can do them easily. If requesting a transfer, PLEASE state the relationship to the person you are requesting. I am related to many of the people for whom I created memorials, and I need to know this. Also, do not post correction or transfer requests on my page here--I probably won't see them, as I get many messages a day--and the EDIT tab is the correct procedure to use. Thanks in advance.

RE: Just a tip...
I DO prefer to use all upper case lettering in the surnames- I do this on my tree on Ancestry too. It helps keep surnames separate from other names. I did not find the place on the "help with Find A Grave" that you referenced re format for naming on memorials.
Also, your photo on the Guy and Bertha Dulla memorials is great- I haven't been to the grave site yet, so very likely your photo is as legible as it can be. Often people take photos and post them even if (with a little effort)the photos could be a lot more legible. I usually can improve them. It sounds like you take the time to do some of that yourself, so you are the exception...thanks.

Isiah Stevenson
Thank you for posting the headstone photos for Isiah Stevenson. The date of birth and death given on the stone, I believe are mistaken though. I have his date of birth from a note written in his own handwriting in my personal collection. The date of death was recorded in his military records file from the National Archives in Washington ,D.C. The next time that I go to Woodmere, I will check their records to see what they have for the sake of accuracy. Thank you for your contribution to the Find-A-Grave community.

RE: Guy and Bertha Dulla @ Woodmere
Thank you for posting the photos of Guy and Bertha's Dulla's gravestone. I'm wondering if you'd be willing to email me the first one posted (with the lettering)- I could make the words more legible, return it to you to repost. I really appreciate legible photos, and this one is not as legible as I think it could be. I had planned on visiting this grave next time I visit Michigan and had planned to photograph the memorial myself then. But if you'd be so kind as to send your photo to me to work on contrast, I'd return it to you to repost. Hope that is OK. Please send to agraham@uwsp.edu Thank you.

RE: Briscoes @ Woodmere in Detroit
Hello, and thank you for offering to transfer Edward Janvier Briscoe's memorial to me. I don't have Edward in my family tree and have no idea how he might be related to the Briscoes who are in my tree. Because Edward and Frances (Briscoe) Brow have the same middle name, I'm sure you're right about there being a connection between them. I have a feeling Janvier is a family name, perhaps a grandmother's/great-grandmother's maiden name. I see that Edward was considerably younger than Frances, but his father William was just a few years older, so it's possible that William and Frances were cousins.

I really have not done much research on the Briscoe family because I'm not related to them. Frances Janvier Briscoe married into the Brow family (my mother's family). The only reason I created memorials was because a cousin in Michigan helped me with some research and went to Woodmere to take pictures of Brow gravestones. She knew of the Briscoe connection and also took pictures of some of those gravestones.

Woodmere, Berns, Beth El, Lot #29
I am interested in any information about the names of ALL individuals buried at Woodmere in Detroit in the Beth El, Lot #29. Is it only Bernard and Caroline Levy or are other family members buried there. Bernard and Caroline are my husbands grand parents. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. We live in Hawaii so we can't do the investigating ourselves.

Thank you, Dana Goldenson

I don't think I ever thanked you for this, thank you, again for everything you do for me and many others at Woodmere :). You are very much appreciated.

Wilhelmine Klatta
Hi: Thanks for the picture. I made a note of the spelling Wilhelmina on her gravestone. It was Wilhelmine in German (and as you know the A and E thing drives me crazy). I'll be headed to Michigan soon...
