I love this site! I have found many family ties because of everyone's dedication to Find A Grave.|
I am retired so should have lots of time for Find A Grave, but find myself busier than before! I am slowly gathering cemeteries near me, but just haven't found time to upload them yet.
Any headstone photo's with my name as photographer you are welcome to copy. Other photo's, check to see if I have permission to use, please.
My personal photo's I would appreciate being asked before they are copied. I think copyrighting grave photo's that were volunteered to take is wrong. That photo belongs to the family and the descendants.
PLEASE do NOT add death certificates or Obituaries to the memorials. Send them to me and I will add the information to the person's BIO.
I manage more than I contribute because..... when I send info for the contributor often they just transfer the memorial to me. I don't mind looking after them and adding as much as I can to help others searching for their family too.
Most of my ancestors were pioneers of the USA, my Great Grandfather, originally from Switzerland, a First Citizen of Washington State. In 1911 he sold his hotel and left for Canada. A province over his daughter-in-law to be and her family were also moving to Canada in 1911. My Mother and I were born in the same place,in Canada.
Some of the memorials I have added are the ancestors who remained or returned to the USA.
I am addicted to genealogy and since having cancer it has become more important to research so my grandchildren or theirs will have a record of their beginning.
If I can help in any way for Canadian records or searches, please use my email address. I can direct you to web sites, or search with you.
Find A Grave isn't set up to volunteer for photo's in Canada, but if you see a cemetery I have someone in, it means its close to me, then please email and I would be happy to look for someone for you.
If there is someone you would like to add to your memorials and manage, just go click on the edit button, tell me how you are related and I will consider it. I don't worry if you are 2-4 or 10 generations apart, just want to know you will take care of them and not make them look trashy. Some people just feel better having all their family together. I like to make people happy!
Lung cancer is the least funded cancer for research. Children get lung cancer. Parents of young children don't get to see them grow. Children lose a parent. No one deserves to die. Please donate to a foundation near you,so all types of cancer have a cure.
November is Lung Cancer Month. The colour for Lung Cancer is white! Wear white or Pearls for lung cancer, in November.
Check out the Face Book page of Wear Pearls in November For Lung Cancer.
I am a 3+ year surgery & chemo Lung Cancer survivor. I live one day at a time. I count each day I wake up a blessing.
Have a terrific day, week, year! Life is: Love & Laughter. May you be blessed with both.

Yes, I fixed it. That was quite irritating that some noodle brain would do that to me! Sorry you got that. I am just fine and don't need any money.

Sharon, you are most welcome!! It's really super fun to volunteer for find-a-grave. Mostly I'm very fortunate to have quick access to cemetery records, I volunteer with a wonderful group of people, and we've been fortunate the 2013 fall has run late and we aren't buried in 12 inches snow! This is after all Montana! ha! Best wishes in your family research.

Photo is done and added to the memorial. (<:)
|Patricia Harrison Armstrong||RE: Elizabeth Griffith|
I have transferred Elizabeth to your management. There is also a Weston Griffith at Mount Moriah. He's located in: Block:N Sect:1 Lot:19 Grave:3
He's really close to Elizabeth and Frances. It's an easy find as long as he has a headstone. I don't know if I'll have a chance to get a photograph tomorrow but will try. Go ahead and enter his memorial in Mount Moriah and I'll post a photo as soon as I can.
|Patricia Harrison Armstrong||Elizabeth Griffith|
Sharon, I have now added Elizabeth Griffith to Mount Moriah Cemetery as she shares a headstone with Frances Mae. Photos for both are now posted. If you wish, I'll transfer Elizabeth to your management as they are obviously connected in some way. Pat

Sharon thanks so much! I appreciate your quick response. I ran over to the cemetery this morning and took the photos. I'll post them as soon as I process my photos today.

I am sorry for your dissapointment. We could be mistaken. However, we were working with the cemetery supervisor and the actual plot location map. Still there is often confusion even with these items. It is entirely possible that someone knows something that is not on the official record, I suppose.
|Jonathan Hart||Burton W. Rogers|
Hi Sharon, I added the birth and death dates for Burton to his memorial. Best wishes, Jon Hart.

Hi Sharon, Find A Grave says to use whatever is on the marker, and then put the additional information in the bio. I guess the reason is to avoid inadvertent dupes, such as my two memorials for her under Haigh and Northover. I will move the Northover name to the top of the bio, though.
|Ima BC Graver||Edith Northover (Haigh)-90204369|
The Edith Nellie Fletcher, spinster, who married George F Eversley Norris in 1917 was the daughter of Joseph William Fletcher and Kathleen Evans.
I don't remember where I got the last name of Norris. When I first started doing this I would make the changes without a comment in the bio and then delete the email, so it's probable I made it from a SAC. I have changed it to Haigh to match the marker.
If you would like to search the RBCM images and indices, see:
"Search our indexes to births (1854-1903), marriages (1872-1936), deaths (1872-1992), colonial marriages (1859-1872) and baptisms (1836-1888). Note that images are not available for all events."
