On Father's Day 2011 my sweet daughter, Mariah, offered to spend the day with me in whatever activity I chose.
We were off to the cemetery to clean stones and talk about life and death. I showed her where I assumed I would be buried. Little did I know that she would go before me and be placed where we sat that wonderful day.
It's with such a heavy heart I have had to add her memorial. Please take the time to visit my sweet angel HERE.
Seeking written histories and photos of the following families: Young (Lorenzo Dow) Erekson, Benbow, Siddoway, Miller, Clark, Farley, Wardle, Rogers, Morgan and Timothy.
My area of greatest interest is the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, especially Sections A, B, C and D.
The Great Utah Artist John Hafen is resting in section A. 2010 is the Centennial of his death.
How I got started:
Three nights in a row I had the same dream. I was in a big room of an old church that no longer exists. I was sitting on a bench and a line of people was in front of me. One by one people that I didn't recognize asked me to take their photos but I didn't have a camera or a way to help them. I felt urgency but helpless.
On the 4th night of this dream, I was surprised to realize that these people were all dead. I woke up with the strong feeling that I should take pictures of their headstones for them.
That day I decided I must quickly do something. I went to the cemetery and started taking pictures but didn't know what to do with them. I searched online for grave stones and found FindAGrave. Since then I have been taking photos and getting them posted here.
While walking through the cemeteries I have had many emotional experiences and have felt compelled to document some people through their headstones. Some are family, others I don't know. I hope my work is pleasing to someone.
Please remember Baby Jane who was abandoned by her mother, but not forgotten by us. Thanks to MayflowerPilgrim332 for sponsoring her memorial.
Of possible interest, Resurrected Gravestones.
Special thanks to Grandma Timothy who used to take me on Saturdays to the genealogy library when I was a boy of 12.

 | Hans Jasperson Photo Question Hello,
I have what might be a random question for you. I was just looking at Hans Jasperson's memorial (my g-g-g-grandfather), and saw the photo you uploaded of his work-in-progress gravemarker--that's such a neat photo. Anyway, I was just wondering if I could download/print this to add to my own family history records and photos. I of course totally respect it if you'd rather I not--just say the word and I will honor that. I'm just always excited to see something new and be able to share it with my family members. So if you could just let me know either way, that would be awesome!
Thanks, Kaitlyn Craig (you can respond to me by email if you'd rather: 09kcraig@gmail.com) | | | Sherlocks Cousin

 | Ruby Morgan Haneburg Hi Mark,
I've linked Ruby to her parents and added her obituary. Although the cemetery listing showed her under her maiden name, her obituary was under her married name of Haneburg.
Thanks, Lucia | | | L. Finley
