My eleven-year old son likes to take photos of headstones, and he thinks that, somehow, we can capture the missing 5,000 photos in Greenlawn, Spartanburg. I mostly enjoy the fact that he wants to spend time with his father.|
I'm happy to help with any information or photos. I'm even happier to transfer memorials if someone is more closely related to you than me.
Please feel free to use my photos. We are all doing this to help each other.

Boyce, thanks so very much for transferring the memorials to me. I have already completed the links and details on each one.
Please don't hesitate to send me others. I'll be happy to complete any of the memorials you have created.

Wasn't able to reply back to your email so leaving this here.
At the moment I added what you sent me into the bio to keep track. A while back someone was trying to decide what the "L" stood for, if it was Louise or Lawton.
Were her parents John Goldwire Lawton and Jane Maner? I did a quick look on ancestry.com. I have the same Lawton line in my tree, not blood related but they married into the family a few times.

I was going through old emails and came across yours. I'm terribly sorry... I missed it for some reason. Yes, John Mathis is my 6x great grandfather. Would love to connect: firstname.lastname@example.org

Welcome to find-a-grave! I have relatives buried in Greenlawn. If you are rambling and find their graves, feel free to post pics of the stones. I didn't know Greenlawn was SOOO big until I started hunting relatives!

Sorry the first picture isn't the greatest. Ivy may look pretty but it takes over.

Hi and thanks for sending me the e-mail about Alexander Lawton in Bonaventure Cemetery. I checked my notes and his date was a SAC from someone not signed in to Find-A-Grave. The date that the note included was Aug 16 -- I must have goofed when I updated it, so I updated it to the right date -- thanks for pointing it out :-). Let me know if you would like me to transfer to you (I'm no relation at all). I'm always happy to transfer.
You can transfer them to me,that will be fine. Thank you for your help.

I went and transferred his memorial to you. I am glad that you and your family were able to make a connection to other family members through him. Did you take any other photo requests while you were at Saint John's cemetery? (I have a few there myself.) I am originally from Yonkers but I live in North Carolina. There does not seem to be too many findagrave volunteers in that area I(for some reason). Fior that reason I have (and continuously) add names to findagrave quite often. I was there in the winter (for a few months). I was taking an online course and I went to several cemeteries (and some I went to quite a bit).

Your Welcome Boyce,
I have been a scoutmaster for 12 years now. My son made eagle in 2010 and turned 21 this year. Good luck with the new scout troop.
