Hello Fellow Find-A-Gravers and ancestry hunters!|
I found Find a grave via doing my family tree on ancestry.com.
I'm from Nelson, New Zealand so if you have a family member buried here or need help with something I can try to help you.
Findagrave site itself is not meant to be offensive it is meant to be there to honour and remember loved ones, please don't think we are out to make anyone unhappy this is just not the case, if you wish to have a memorial removed please contact me in private to discuss.
I am flexible about transfers, and trust that you will take good care of them. To request a transfer, go to the memorial that you want, click the edit tab, and send your request as a suggestion/additional information. Following the FAG procedure will ensure a smooth, accurate transfer. Please also use this tab for requests for corrections and links.

|Allan Scotson||Permission to use use photos|
Hi, I am administrator of the non-commercial genealogical website www.scotsonfamilyhistory.com. I would be most grateful if I could have permission to use your excellent photos of the Francis Scotson headstone 140153042 and the general Marsden Cemetery sign.
Thanks for all your invaluable photographs to assist us genealogists.
Thank you for the transfers Mystik.

Hi - Got your edit suggestions which i have incorporated by establishing more memorials and linking family members. You mentioned an Elizabeth Dingley (Lies) Estcourt - at the moment I can only find an Elizabeth Dinely Estcourt who married a John George Denne in 1860, presumably after the death of her husband George James, although I can't find a record of his death in the registers. I did see a family tree that has him dying on 28/10/1856 in Nelson - which would fit with the later marriage of Elizabeth. However, the death registered on NZ BDM index for that date is for an Edwin Estcourt (age 25). Bit of a mystery there :-)

No worries. Do you want me to resend the edits?
You can then just delete the bio you have against Frances Jane Humphreys that should appear against Frances Jane (Humphreys) Thorn out at Richmond.
I've uploaded some photos as per your photo requests

Hi - sorry me again :-) I pushed the send button a tad early. I meant to add that the marriage of Charles Churchill Anning to Frances Jane Glanville (no 'd') is registered in Pontypool (Wales) in 1857 under reference 11A 206A.
There is a marriage of Frances Jane Anning to John Humphreys registered in NZ in 1887, three years after Mary Jane (Campbell) Humphreys died.... Jonty

Hi - no problem I can do that. However, you might like to revisit your information. The Frances Jane Humphreys that died October 1919 and is buried at Wakapuaka died at the age of 87 years (therefore born abt 1832?)!! I believe she was John Humphreys second wife not his daughter.
Frances Mary Churchill (Anning) Estcourt is the daughter of Charles Churchill Anning and Frances Jane (Glandville) Anning (later to be Humphreys).
The Frances Jane (Humphreys) Thorn that was born in 1864 died in 1933 and is buried at Richmond. Your memorial #115557860.

Many thanks for taking and posting the photo of Sarah's gravestone. Thank you for all your efforts in helping others to find their family members. Happy New Year to you.
|Jonty||RE: Top of south maps|
Hi - Happy New year!!
You're right there is no mapping of the plots of the TOPS map. I think this has something to do with the fact that, although you can get burial records from the Tasman council website, they don't administer the cemetery. If you look at their website you'll see they don't list the cemetery under 'cemetery locations'. I believe there is a private board of trustees out of Motueka. In my experience, if a cemetery isn't council controlled, plot mapping doesn't appear on the TOPS map. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a map. If I come across one I'll let you know...Rgds Jonty
