Ms. trawick, greetings, the memorial in which you manage, #30928586 for John Jabez Harrison born 1869, show he was the son of Rev. Bill Augustus Harrison and Demeris Holmes Harrison. Bill and Demeris did have a second son named John M. Harrison born in 1873 who married a Roxie Brown and they are buried in Wheeler county ga. in the beulah baptist church cemetery. In 1870, William and Demeris are living with williams parents as newlyweds with no children. In 1880, John is the second son, born in 1873 at 7yrs. old. I have John M. Harrison's d.c. which clearly reflects his parentage as stated by his son vivian. John Jabez Harrison seems to have been the son of a William H. Harrison. I have requested the links be made and I do hope you will adjust your John Jabez memorial links accordingly, thank you, C. Harrison

Hi Meredith,

You seem to have a lot on the DEAN family in Anderson County, SC and was wondering if you are related? I have a friend in Greensboro, NC who is a descendant and he has very little information on his ancestral lines.

RE: Henry W. Hester
Hi Meredith!
Thank you for your quick response and suggestion.

Unfortunately, I do not know Henry's first wife's maiden name.......I wish we could run across something that mentions it!

Again, thank you for your help with posting cemeteries, graves, etc.

Sincerely,
Nan H. Duke

Henry W. Hester
Hello! Thank you for all the work you have done to record the records of other people's families. I wanted to ask our permission to include the photograph of Henry W. Hester's headstone in my genealogy. I will respect your request, and will not share it on Ancestry.com, FB or other internet outlets.

My husband is a descendent of Henry and Nancy (MNU) Hester and is one of their 4th g-grandsons.

Thank you for considering my request.

Sincerely,
Nan H. Duke

RE: Plot Numbers - Oak Grove Cem., Brunswick, GA
I have not been in about 3 years. My son use to live there and I would go take a few photos on the way to the quilt store. He has moved back home and we live in Albany. Glad to see someone is going to clean up the wonderful old cemetery. It has so much potential.

Plot Numbers
Have you been there? Obviously not, there are no markers in that overgrown cemetery to indicate where they are buried and it is a very small cemetery. This info will not help you find their graves.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. According to his Muster Roll on Fold3 he enlisted on May 1, 1862 not Aug 24, 1864. He was admitted to the hospital in Howard's Grove, Richmond, Virginia on Aug 23, 1864, more than likely from complications of having his hand amputated the previous Feb. I've added the info to his page.

Thanks again,
Donna
