Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy taking pictures for people of their families headstones. I have been doing genealogy work for about seven years and whe I found out that people would take pictures for you of your relatives headstones I had asked for a couple. When I got them it was such a great thing to see and know that now I have a picture of where they are located.

Then I decided that I needed to pay people back by taking pictures for others. Sometimes I'm kind of slow at getting it done, but it had been very rewarding.

RE: John and Catherine Harris
I would make the changes but unfortunately I am not the one that manages those memorials. I was just going through looking for one of my ancestors named John Harris when I ran across the duplicate memorials.

They had another son who isnt listed. His name was Myron Sylvanus Day and he was born in 1846 and died of fever and pneumonia in 1869. Its said he was buried in day cemetery in Cherokee county. I cant find one so im assuming its a small family plot on someone's farm or something.

They didn't just take Susie to raise as their own. They plotted a kidnapping after their son, Myron Sylvanus Day died, because zimmarue was Cherokee and they didn't want Susie raised 'indian'. They forcibly tore thw child from her mother so she could be raised white. They were terrible people for what they did to Zimmarue and Susie.

#8177034 & 8177035 photo of their stone
Janice, this stone is located IN Lyon Valley Cemetery, Hennessey, Kingfisher, OK. You posted photos in July 2013. You may have had to compress them. On your original can you read the marriage date in the middle. I can not seem to make it out. Thanks for any help.

Hello Janice!
Thank you so much for making the trip out to the cemetery to take the photo of William and Rachel Travis's headstone and then placing it on the memorial on Find A Grave. I appreciate it so very much!
