Truthfully, I spend too much time on the FindAGrave site. But it gives me the opportunity to do one of those things I used to do in my younger years and that is, visiting cemeteries (like many of you reading this). I was always fascinated by the headstones that had the flip-up photo holders so I could see what the people buried there looked like and and try to guess what they were like in life and to speculate what might have happened to them. Now with this site, I can do pretty much the same thing in a climate-controlled environment! Thanks to all who contribute to this site-I especially like the vintage or 'retro' photos that you post. And thanks to those of you who have placed remembrances on the memorials I have added.
If you have a spare moment or two, please visit my virtual cemeteries or those memorials I have sponsored and leave a flower or message for these folks. Thank you.
For those of you reading this in need of assistance going through the grieving process after losing a loved one, I recommend that you consider attending a GriefShare group (www.griefshare.org) in your locale. This program was a great help to me and others that I know who've attended. | |

Haven't heard from you in a long time. Well I'll begin by telling you that I've suffered the loss of my eldest son David. He had an undetected heart condition that caused him to have 2 strokes. He fell in a coma, from which he never woke up. He went to heaven last year on May 30th. Since then, I haven't been myself. I've been isolated and terribly depressed. Just recently I've started to come around, trying to get my life back to some sort of normalcy. I'm working on my son's memorial as we speak, but it's just so hard and too painful, but I'm getting there. I will have that memorial ready for his angel day. I remember you telling me how hard it was for you to make the memorials for your parents, and now I understand you completely. When I started to make memorials for my relatives and friends, they had been gone for a while. But my son's passing is just too recent, it feels as if it happened just the other day, it's not getting any easier. Well sweetie, I pray all is well with you and hope to hear from you soon.
